Am actually impressed with Banner Saga. Sure, it's a bit repetitive but I'm finding the combat challenging on "normal" as well, and in a very good way. Specifically I mean that the game is not just arbitrarily dumping shit on you for the sake of difficulty but it *is* forcing you to think about your team's individual strengths and your over-all strategy in a way that is very unforgiving if you don't. It's also one of the first games I've ever played to successfully prevent (for the most part) save scumming. Almost every choice you make is over in a flash, the consequences told to you, and then your caravan is moving on. Refreshing to have this old-school flavor which is really nowhere to be seen in modern PC gaming.

Accidentally posted this in the KKK thread:

I got The Fall because of the recommendation of someone here. The writing is great, but whoever said it was easy is a liar!! I'm having a lot of trouble figuring out what I need to do to complete most of the tasks it gives me. Even though it highlights everything of note as I look at it, there are very few usable things in the environment, and it feels claustrophobic to be limited to a few extremely selective tools to do this shit.

One example: I'm in the domestic droid test chambers, and I need to find food for the fake family. It sends me to the supermarket, wherein the only thing I can interact with is an electrical box. When I open it up, it says that a wire is broken. I have wire cutters, but I can't manipulate the wires in the box. There are no wires lying around that I've spotted. I can't interact with any of the robots that I just shot to see if there is a matching wire in any of them. Whatever the solution to that is, it must be very out of the way.

Actually, I ended up solving this, though. In the situation I was talking about, there was some ceiling tile I didn't know I could shoot open, and then a whole bunch of useful shit poured out.

Bought Bionic Commando: Rearmed after a good year of staring at it.

Sucks. Not the game itself, but the PC iteration. You definitely need a controller to play because the swinging mechanics are a fucking nightmare with the keyboard.

Ah. I spent 20.73 USD.
Rogue Legacy and Season 2 of The Walking Dead... Which I promised myself I would not buy before the season was over -- but 50% off, man.
I sold all my cards for .83 USD, so I actually wasted less than 20 USD.

Badges? Badges?!

So anyway, even though Skyrim is only five bucks I ended up not getting it because I watched a gameplay video and was reminded how horrible the writing and voice acting is.
It doesn't matter how cheap that game gets. I'm never playing that shit.

Coma:Mortuary
Ubersoldier II
The Fall
The Swapper (extra copy)
Project: Snowblind
Mr. Bree+
BattleBlock Theater
Angvik
Nether
Dawn of Discovery/Anno 1404
Resident Evil 6
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II
Reus
Transistor
Exodus from the Earth
Tropico Trilogy
Ether One
Tower of Guns
God Mode
Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Director's Cut
For a total of 101.53$ bux

Now guess how many of these I'll actually bother to play???

My spending is still out of control, but on the bright side, it's less than some of the last times Steam shoved discounts at me. AND I'm employed now. Back then I was just whittling away at some award money that I had got at my high school graduation.

$19.30 -- probably the most I've spent over the last three or four sales:

Anachronox
State of Decay + Breakdown DLC
Plants vs. Zombies Pinball table
Dishonored
Hitman Contracts
Hitman Blood Money
Far Cry

Still have around $20 of card money.

Project: Eternity
Bought Dishonored and Deus Ex HR directors cut.

Dishonored is great so far. Very interesting setting, good art style, fun gameplay. Sure it could have been harder but for me its one of the best ''AAA'' games I have played in the last couple of years. Big potential in this franchise.

Your ignore list.
Bought some games I had previously not removed from Steam's inventory:

The Fall
The Swapper
Gunpoint
Hotline Miami
One Finger Death Punch
Trine
Trine 2

Would have bought Dishonored Goty, but still too expensive.

Eh, it's okay. Everyone says the DLC is better but I'll be surprised if I get through the base game. It's got nice art style, setting, and level design but the overall gameplay is a bit flat. Worse than Deus Ex HR, in my opinion (which wasn't anything amazing itself).
