Dishonored is possibly the easiest, most boring stealth game ever made. The only reason to play it is for the setting.

It feels like the Stealth equivalent of RAGE or Bioshock. It just screams AAA. Shame, though, seeing what Arcane is still capable of in terms of setting and atmosphere it makes me sad they'll probably never do something like Arx Fatalis again.

If seen purely as a stealth game I guess so. The blink power and possession make stealth too easy. But I'm having a lot of fun with the powers anyway. Also I like exploring the environment and the first person combat is pretty decent as well (especially in comparison to games like TES).

I'm interested to see how they have improved on the shortcoming in the DLC. If the balance of the powers is improved (nerfed) this can be a great game series I think.

But I guess its always a matter of taste.

The stealth game that's not a stealth game! It was clearly intended to be a stealth game... I mean... yeah you can play Deus Ex (vanilla and HR) as straight up shooters but how fun is that?

Well it should have been about the stealth maybe. But these games (Deus X HR and dishonored) are now made with modern mainstream gamers in mind. My guess is that these console people are mainly attracted to a pure action playthrough. SO they put more effort into the action part.

Doesnt have to be a problem in my opinion, more choice is good. Main problem in Dishonored is that the powers are OP both for a violence playtrhough and for a stealth playthrough.

Believe it or not, it actually wasn't. I mean, I guess they always intended you to be able to be kinda stealthy, but you were supposed to use your stealth powers to kill shit. It was conceived as a kind of action game and the option to be 100% ghosty pacifist was shoehorned in later on.

Totally agree Metro. Arx Fatalis was fucking great! Maybe eventually we'll see another game like it from somebody else (after all, it seemed like we would never see another Ultima Underworld, but we did with Arx Fatalis).
