About jRPGs on STEAM, are there any that are worth playing a bit? Sale or no. Not looking for any "serious" awesome games, just some that may be entertaining for a bit.

I'm replaying FFIX at the moment and enjoying it, finding it charming (though the random encounters make me wanna kill myself).

Ys games are cool action jrpgs. combat is in real time though
Trails in the Sky is said to be very good, but I haven't played it yet.
Agarest is more of a waifu simulator than a jrpg (aren't they all, now that i think of it), but it has turn based combat.

Ys Origins and The Oath in Felghana are solid dungeon crawlers + Trails in the Sky is a solid turn-base jrpg.

Ys Origin has a demo, if you want to try it.

Thanks guys!

EDIT: So, Trails in the sky... First part of a trilogy?
It is. The second chapter will hopefully be released sometime in Q1 2015. (It was supposed to be released in 2014, but there was some drama during translation.)

The third chapter might not actually get localized, but chapter 1 & 2 are more tied together than chapter 2 & 3.

So is Ys Origins and/or Trails in the Sky at all playable with keyboard/mouse (probably no mouse support?) ?

Iirc Trails has mouse support since it was originally developed for PC. Don't remember if YO does.

If you don't mind FF games, give FFXIII-2 a try. It's a pretty interesting game mechanics-wise.

Sir You Are Being Hunted is pretty dull. Loaded up Brut's copy since I was interested due to the sale, but it fails as a survival game and fails as a sneaker. Survival aspect is basically non-existent. You barely have to eat to maintain your vitality score but food is extremely plentiful (And it looked like every damn thing put you at full. Nearly dead? Some cold tea will fill you right up) and you can bleed out if you get shot badly, but an instant bandage fixes it and health regenerates. The sneaking side is pretty poor as well, the robots don't move around enough (The ones parked on the game winning macguffins anyway) to really concern yourself with trying to sneak, and they didn't appear to walk any set patterns. Crossing the countryside you're better off just hauling ass and running because the robots still have less sight than you do and you've got bigass maps and lots of room to maneuver. The robutts at an objective you can either call away by throwing rocks and bottles or simply murder them since you've got regenerating health and they're pretty easy to kill.

Maybe the game gets amazing later (When starting it it does show that the difficulty ramps up as time passes/you collect more objectives) but after 40 minutes I was bored out of my mind. If you're still curious about it wait for it to hit an indie bundle, couldn't really see it being worth $4. Glad I didn't impulse buy it with the card money I've got left.

The first one is a steal for the price, the others are still roughly 100% overpriced.

If I remember correctly, that particular version of The Last Express seems to be seriously "damaged" in the same way than Dracula 1+2+3 games are. GoG sells the "original" one, while DotEmu's Steam release seems to lack audio files, among other problems.

I think everybody who's serious about good RPGs is at least at B1 level in Japanese by now.

So they are doing another Saints Row free weekend. I have 4. Anyone want to co-op the campaign?

Put this mod in the install directory (It's a tiny file that unlocks extra color options for clothing, most notably a real white and black while the original game only allows "lightish gray" and "darkish gray", otherwise I'd be invisible) and send me a friend request (steam name is the same).

I'm 99% sure the target audience for the recent set of Steam releases with no English option is not "people who can only speak English".

Yeah, I don't really see a massive problem. If they think the local market is big enough for a non-english release, more power to them.

What does annoy me is stuff only being available in certain regions, like how this http://store.steampowered.com/app/288390/?cc=jp is only available in Japan, while the rest of the world is stuck with this earlier version http://store.steampowered.com/app/292990/
