I hear the PC port isn't particularly good, though.

You have to do some ini tweaking and shit. The texture quality is stuck at Medium quality and using the config program does not change it.

GTA V - It's alright, but mostly just a larger version of GTAIV.
Pillars of Eternity (probably better just to replay BG/IWD, right?) - Also found it alright, but its zealous obsession with balancing also makes it kinda dull. Quit around forty hours in.
The Witcher 3 - Fairly good. It has a couple really outstandingly written parts (i.e. the bloody baron questline), but the main questline is lackluster, which is a letdown given all the hype leading up to it. Combat has gone from astoundingly shitty in the first game, just shitty in the second game, to functional in this one.
Valkyria Chronicles - Probably the best bang for your buck gameplay-wise out of these, but only go in to this if you're willing to put up with a truck-ton of animu cliches. The story also takes the extra step to not just have a generic as fuck animu plot, but it also stuffs it full of bizarre and often blatantly hypocritical/contradictory moral messages that will confuse and frustrate, so it's safer if you just try to ignore it.

Thank you all.

Virtual thuggery and titty-bars it is then. Haven't played a GTA since the first one (top-down!) so it should be a reasonably fresh experience.

GTA V will be worth your while, unlike the rest of the games you listed. It is also a proper PC game regarding graphical quality, user interface and controls. Besides, it is a good game all around.

Rockstar actually made a good PC port? Hard to believe after the fucking abortion that was GTA IV PC.

But then you call NV bug ridden :retarded: so maybe your opinion isn't the most reliable..

If SitS gives you a headache from screenshots, then playing it will be a lot worse for you.

I've heard good things about Endless Legends but I still haven't touched my copy of AoW3 so I feel reluctant buying another fantasy strategy game.

I want to buy Witcher 3, but I doubt I will actually play it. I want something sci-fi. Got CAT Interstellar, but it is kinda shit or still early in development.

I was searching for a hidden gems thread on steam forums, but no luck this year?
Are there some obscure discounts for good games / classics?

On my list laready:
Grim Fandango Remastered 2,99 (never played it, so want to dive in)
Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords 2,99 (want to try with restoration mod)

Anything else? Already bought Deus Ex and Thief II for a couple of euros last year. They are both 1,74 now.

Almost forgot that steam sale was ending. Here's what I got

Wanted to grab PoE as well but there doesn't seem to be any season pass deal, so I guess I'll wait on GOTY edition or something.
Same goes for Legends of Eisenwald

Got the Batman games (sans AK for obvious reasons), Silent Storm, 7.62 high calibre, Double Dragon Neon, Injustice, Grimrock 2 and Homm5. I spent like 20 dollars? Ended up buying more than I was expecting, actually.

Bought Dead Rising 3 at the buzzer. Only about $12 after crappy card monies. Only thing on my wishlist that had greater than a 50% off discount.
