The STEAM Sales and Releases Thread

Hitman GO will be soon released on Steam, and it's currently discounted by 20%. It's apparently good,so much that they later made a Tomb Raider version of it.
It's also turn based. Haven't played it myself but I've only seen good reviews for the mobile version.

Is that daedelic adventure bundle for 90% off weekly special a good deal?

All those games are good, Night of the Rabbit is kinda so so, but that was just published by Daedalic and not developed by them iirc. All Deponia games are good, Memoria is also one of their finest. I've only played the other Edna game, which is the first one, so if the second one is anything like the first then it's good. I remember the first one had verbs instead of just point and click. Whispered World is also nice but the protagonist is too depressing.

I've played FF9 and loved it. Currently I play FF6 and I like it a lot. If I wanted to try a newer FF installment, which of the FF XIII games would be the best and why?

They are all bad ff games and even worse pc ports (especially xiii2, ditched it because of bad frame rate), better play eighter x or xii

None of the FFXIII games are great games and they sure aren't great Final Fantasy games. I completed XIII just to say that I have beaten all numbered offline games in the series. Never played much of the two sequels.

Warhammer 40K DOW 2 Master Pack at 9 euros. I've played and enjoyed the first one. How's the multiplayer like in this one? Is it good, does it suffer from cheesing and/or improper balancing?

DoW 2 is totally different game. Its more of a squad ARPG than RTS. Singleplayer is worth it, imo. Multiplayer, no idea.

Only Chaos Rising is worth in SP, and Retribution if you like a cheap ass campaign (same missions for all the races, but at least you can choose something else than Mehreens). Baseline DoW2 campaign is mediocre.

MP's a mess, bar the Last Stand.

I've read up on DoW 2 and apparently there is a MP community around the Elite Mod for it. Anyone played it?

Yeah I played some elite, there was indeed a quite lively online community for it, and it has some cool stuff. But I also seem to recall some pretty fucking weird balance decisions and broken units. Though maybe they have patched it since I played into a more reasonable state.
