And about the release date. The game was released in december. This new date is a Steam glitch... Probably caused by the release of the Soundtrack.

I got that binary domain email thing, worked fine ,and the privacy policy was via sega uk so there's some extra EUesque restrictions around usage.

Anyway, It also gave me a 80% of alpha protocol voucher for steam, if anyone hasn't got it yet and wants it for whatever that price makes it for you, let me know

Is Rome Total War II really that bad? I like TW, I love ancient Rome. I just heard it was so bad when it came out. It's 75% off right now until 2/20. $15.

It's okay. If you are specifically into Roman era, then go ahead and get it, but otherwise consider other Total Wars. If you haven't played TWs before ( I guess you did though) go ahead with Medieval 2 TW with mods, that's the best experience (Broken Crescent mod is the best), then Rome Total War (with Europa Barbarorum mod), which is second best, and everything else is far behind, but the first Shogun and Medieval are well worth a try too. Every TW since Empire was inferior, but they are all fun, just... inferior.

Rome2 can't be neither patched or modded to even ok status as the problems are on design level and there is no mod tools even close to what Medieval2 had.Someone lied to you and is massive scrub to recommend this pos to anyone.Only thing worth seeing is the javelin throws in battles.

I'm having good fun playing it with the DEI mod. Game is decently challenging, lots of fun units, BAI is decent enough, diplomacy works relatively well and the new resource, traits and buildings system improves the base mechanics more than enough for me. Is it now a masterpiece? No. It is however a decent game and worth it if you're into the Roman thing. Would indeed wait for a sale and pay no more than 10-15 euro for it though.
