I know...but for some reason there's a voice in the back of my head telling me that I should play it.

I get this feeling a lot too. I guess it's like wanting to witness a car crash :S The horror must be seen first hand so you can truly understand it.

I mught buy Honk Kong and some other stuff, but I'm not really planning to buy anything right now. I'm kind of forcing myself to finish the games I've already bought first.

Spec Ops was pretty great, but for some reason Metro and a few other people are really butthurt about it: http://www.rpgcodex.net/forums/inde...s-the-line-heart-of-darkness-with-guns.73595/

Fractured Space is free on Steam if you add it to your Library until Monday: http://store.steampowered.com/app/310380/
Water Bears, an upcoming game for the Vive can also be gotten for free until then: http://store.steampowered.com/app/394130/
Spec Ops was boring trash even as far as generic cover shooters go. It is praised by the "who gives a fuck about gameplay lol" brigade only for its supposedly good story and TWIST.
Story is decent. It is actually pretty good. People who complain that it was shameless copy of famous book should look at themselves with pity. I certainly prefer shameless copy of actual solid story over shit stories of wannabe-Hollywood screenplay writers.

It doesn't save the game however, which is an abomination and stellar example of what is wrong with modern shooters, so the point about the story is moot anyway...

My team has the sexiest and deadliest waifus you can recruit.
Tomorrow is the birthday of a good friend of mine, so I've been thinking of buying him:
Duke Nukem + Shadow Warrior Bundle
Max Payne 1+2 Bundle
Jedi Knight Bundle
KotoR 2
XCOM: UFO Defense
Crimzon Clover: World Ignition
The Witcher 1 + 2
FEAR
EYE: Divine Cybermancy
Serious Sam HD: TFE + TSE
Shadowrun: Dragonfall DC
System Shock 2

Are there any other good RPGs under four euros I can add on top of his backlog?

Those "remasters" look ok if you refrain from butchering the visuals by using the "modern" visual preset. Unfortunately they totally messed up the games controls and Duke's netcode, SW's multiplayer was cut because of reasons. These so called remasters are still worth getting for a few dorra because they both come with the original games as a bonus which can of course be used in tandem with the far better free source ports floating out here in cyberspace.

I recommend EDuke32 + YANG (for MP) for Duke 3D.

I did not see much on this sale versus the Christmas one. I'm pretty much staying in the $5 or under range(with one exception). The games I'm currently considering are The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing(with all DLC), Supreme Commander(I'll definitely buy this at least), and Dark Souls.

Below is the list I got for the last sale. The games may be on sale again this time as well.

Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines

Rome: Total War Collection

Overlord Complete Pack

Plants vs. Zombies

Brutal Legend

Star Ruler

Fallout Tactics Bethesda

Space Rangers HD: A War Apart

SHOGUN: Total War™ - Collection

Praetorians

For $0.49, you can buy Defy Gravity: Extended. I bought the original game for $0.14, which is not much of a loss if I don't like the game.

I went a bit different with my choices for this sale. I bought the Bioshock Triple Pack along with the Space Empires IV and V bundle. The Supreme Commander games pretty much round out my choices.

It used to be at 0,09€. I bought it when it was 0,19 and got 6 cents profit from selling cards.

If you are looking for something good below $5*, buy Marlow Briggs and the Mask of Death, it is the Primordia of arcade-style action games - a game that will surprise you with its quality, and is entertaining all the way through (and features a hovering snarky sidekick).

*Yes, I know it is not discounted, but at $5 it already is a steal.
