For $15 you'd probably be better off with Bastion or SPAZ.
Yup, I'll most likely get both of those and possibly Dust too. Also just noticed Avadon is coming to steam, I thought Jeff wasn't peddling his wares on steam??

Maybe try GOG forums. Or the Terraria forums on Steam. Or there's a game trade thread on the main Steam forum if you're using the Beta client.

Section 8 Prejudice is 66% off, and has the DLC on Steam now. Plus there's a 4 pack which INCLUDES the DLC which comes out to about $3.80 each.

Finally snapped up a copy at that price, even though I hear the MP is entirely dead. Bot stomping should be $4 worth of fun.

I'm kind of interested in Section 8, but truth be told I'm not a big enthusiast for multiplayer shooters these days, and I just don't have the time at the moment to play... well, anything, really. Kind of sad, because it looks like one of the only genuinely fun multiplayer shooters I've seen in the last couple of years.

Bought 4 pack of s8, if anyone wants to buy at split price.

Posted on steam forums and sold out in less than 5 minutes.

My estimate is I invested like 50+ hours into it including the occasional wreaking havoc after the main plot was finished. Quite fun, and definitely more value than most other games of this age.

Prototype is on sale for $10.20 (66% off). Seems to be the Codex sandbox of choice, besides SR2 and JC2.

Yeah, Prototype is actually surprisingly decent. Takes a while to get used to controls though, lots of buttnz to press and combonate.

Grabbed Avadon for only 6 euros. Glad I didn't buy this game for the full price. I managed to get a bit farther than the tutorial cave and so far the game is still kind of shit. Combat sucks and so far all I've fought is giant rats, giant lizards, bats, some spiders and wolves and a bunch of orcs wretches. Thank god Vogel is keeping to my comfort zone here. I'll try to stick around for a bit but I doubt I'll have the will to finish this game.

Chaos Rising has a decent single player campaign (though more-so an action RPG than an RTS), and you'll need Retribution for multiplayer. I wouldn't get vanilla DoW2 (both the expansions are standalone).

Only reason to get DoW 2 or Chaos Rising is for the campaign because Retribution includes all you want for multiplayer. DoW 2 is still pretty fun but the Chaos Rising campaign is just awesome. Retribution campaign is short and not as good as CR's but still interesting. That said you could also consider the first DoW, which is more of a traditional RTS but with a fair share of tweaks and innovation. The original campaign is a bit lackluster but good fun and with nice characters (in typical WH40K fare of course). Winter Assault is better but Dark Crusade shines and is probably my favourite of the Dawn of War titles. Forget Soulstorm, and fuck StarCraft.

Anyway I saw better deals for the DoW games on GG. Just saying.
