Considering the game's shit performance, they should stop wasting resources and just have a black "loading..." screen.

Is there a way to make the HUGE bubbles of text with their big font any smaller?

Tg0trDX.jpg

Preferably the same size as the text in the typewriter window.

One bubble isn't too bad but at times when there can be many of those on the screen at the same time they take a lot of useless screen space.

EDIT: Or scratch that, I'd prefer if there were no speech bubbles at all, just a small floating text over the NPC that says something, oldschool style. Obviously the radio messages should probably have some sort of bubble as a background since there's no NPC standing there.

The Text Size setting is still kinda WIP (it's better than how it was previously but does not yet affect quite everything) so I'll put a note in about it. But, I will say we've had way more users concerned with fonts being too small rather than too big.

As for floating text popups, I think the border is there specifically so people can see who is talking while also preventing text from overlapping or being pushed too far off the screen. Not sure that will change, but I know recently tweaks were made to its logic to make them fight each other less when lots of pop-ups are going on.

The game looks much better than before, and it runs finer too. I also love the opening movie, which fits perfectly.

Brother None and I have been working very hard.

Graphics still look awful close up but are acceptable enough zoomed out all the way. Comparing saturated and desaturated, I definitely prefer saturated.

Here's a weirdo from the forums with a deal-breaking standard I've never seen before
Hello everyone, i hope you are all having a fine day.

I've just registered to say that I've been enjoying Wasteland 2 for a long time, i brought the first version that was released on steam i think, since then I've done a playthrough of every released build and i have enjoyed my time in every one, even the times when performance was so bad i couldn't really play it.

However I've come here to say how extremely disappointed i am that the walk toggle has been removed, it is absolutely essential feature for me in any RPG, i wouldn't even play Mass effect 2 and 3 despite it being one of my favorite game series of all time until i found a mod to hack in a walk toggle.

Due to this i won't be playing Wasteland 2 again, even the final version unless it is restored, seeing as it wasn't re-added in this final beta update I'm assuming it will never be re-added back, so my journey with Wasteland 2 has come to an end. (unless a mod re-adds it, but given how much unity dev kits cost i highly doubt this game will have an kind of a mod community)

Thank you developers for many, many hours of enjoyable gameplay, I'm happy to of supported you with my money despite me never playing the final product due to a (in my opinion) stupid design decision to remove the walk toggle right near the end.

Take care and i hope to see and support a Wasteland 3 someday (with a walk toggle. haha)

Maybe the guy is weird, but at least he has standards unlike the Codex. :smug:

You know if this whole "game-making" thing falls apart, inXile can just make some engine middleware dedicated to putting in a Walk toggle.

:hearnoevil:
EDIT: Considering, how I seem to have started and killed this joke in the space of 10 minutes. Has anyone noticed any graphical improvements?

Not being able to shoot weapons outside combat (aiming the ground) or shoot a member of my party is really off putting for me. So not being able to toggle walk mode is not the only weird design choice out there.
Also, the graphical effects of the energy bolt hitting a target are ridiculous. Disney type ridiculous.
How come a game like Underrail is more visually appealing than Wasteland 2?

You want to shoot the ground outside combat, that is, in real time? Uh.
