Being not able to walk, but always have to run, remembers me of my army time. Perhaps he has the same experience and is traumatised.

Is magical equipment a thing in this game?
There was some magical equipment, lucky rabbit's foot was all I remember.. The new patch added a lot of magic though..for some reason.
Seemed like there was quite a bit of it even before the patch. I found Rabbits' Feet, the Magical Badge of Strength, and one other one I think, just in the first few areas. Oh well.

-------------

As for the walk toggle, I'm even more hysterical about it than that other guy. Not kidding, it sucks that that got removed.

But Zombra you can walk it out. Just relax, step outside and do it. Is far better than in a game. Ahh and greet the tombstones from me. I have not seen your cross. What happened, where you put to sleep in a different place?

Good advice, but I never learned to walk. I only sprint or stand still. Why would anyone walk?

And I may still be alive ...

Zombra, it's best not to think of it as walking, running or standing still. It's a game after all, just think of it as two different movement modes. Forget the labels.

Last time I talked to Brother None about this, he said there was no technical problem with putting walking back in as a cosmetic feature. Maybe it'll still come back.

Cool update in character creation, can scale your avatar bigger or smaller, nice touch, might make it easier to tell rangers apart at a glance, appreciate the addition, saves me the trouble of scaling my rangers in the save files.
Well, that was a nice touch for the few minutes that it lasted. Reloading a save reverts all characters back to default scale. Knowing Inxile they'll likely cut the feature instead of fixing it, because fixing and balancing is hard! Just like they did with sneaking, traits, walking, the ability to see equipped items, and many more :D.

I understand though, something like avatar scaling is probably hard to implement, sure :hearnoevil: and gang have been doing it without hiccup for more than 10 years, but they're super geniuses obviously.

Also kiss ass and smart ass checks are switched around, all kiss ass checks are based on smart ass and vice versa, immediately noticeable in the first few second of game, when Vargas says the opposite of what you chose. And violent deaths have been changed so that they seemingly always occur? At least when it's Angela shooting them..

Mostly minor issues,(excluding cut features) but still, was expecting this patch to be less buggy than the previous one.

Are characters also all 20 years old still?

I hope so. I'll try not to start a big PR campaign about it, but the ability to regulate my speed is a huge deal to me in pretty much all games, regardless of statistical impact. Thanks for the encouraging words.

Good to hear that I'll definitely need to download the day-one patch.

Unless it requires downloading the entire thing in which case I'll evaluate the rushed, buggy version.

Pretty sure that's just Vargas. Where else did you run into it? I checked radio tower and it worked fine.

ITT: Waaah! superfluous features.

Time spent on implementing and QAing stupid shit like walking, character age and portraits is time ill-managed at this point. Sand and polish the core gameplay, pls. Let the nitpicky bunch figure the "easy" stuff out.

ITT: DUrh I'm too retarded to realize that it's already been acknowledged that these are minor issues and there are more important things that need fixing.

Yeah... but your tactlessly sarcastic must-be-so-hard-guise post says otherwise. Ya' sound like a cunt, IMO.
No offense, of course.

I'm pretty sure this is just a bug with save files. When you export characters it doesn't save either (already reported).

Thanks for the critique on the wording and tone of my critique, very useful feedback. :hero:
Take my words at face value okay bub? I meant what I said, those bugs are annoying, but they aren't deal breakers, however I'd prefer they didn't sweep them under the rug just because you think yourself an expert of development schedules, I'm sure Inxile can manage, so I'll continue to submit bug reports how and where I please, and the big boys at Inxile can decide what's within their scope, okay?
I think being able to see equipped items in trade and inventory is a must however, and if I was LARPing an Inxile employee I'd tell my co-workers to mark that as a priority.

InXile is shipping goods about 18 August:
IMPORTANT: The final date for updating your address and adding $15 shipping (non-US users only) to be included in the initial Wasteland 2 physical goods shipment is August 15, 2014. Please ensure your shipping information is up to date and that you have donated $15 for each physical copy of Wasteland 2 via the donations page.

After August 15, 2014, you can still update your information and add shipping. However, beyond this date you will need to pay $20 shipping instead for additional processing, and your physical goods will not be included in the initial shipment.
15 August is Friday. So they will ship it Monday, 18 August or a little later.
If we count a month for goods to reach their destinations (which was mentioned somewhere?), then the final update should be late September.

The latest update says the game's release date should be in the first half of September. And it's not going to take a month to ship, not when they're working with an established publisher.

If we think about it correctly, there is only few days difference between the first and a second half of a month.

As far as I know there is no hard ship date yet. That's just a disclaimer to make sure people get their info and shipping fee in on time.

While checking out the Steam screenshots I saw a cat shrine that raised everyone's stats when they looked at it. I imagine they're like that.

This shrines are .... (shaking my head horizontally).
Additional skills, good weapons and should be a reward for achieving some goals, solving a interesting quest. Something that is part of a story line or the result of a certain behavior.
But this... I don't know, what and how they thought.
