I'm sad to say that although I've enjoyed the game thus far, and was looking forward to it's release, I simply cannot play it with the knowledge that they removed the Indian headdresses. My dreams of recreating the four gay members of the Village People have been tragically cut short. I really really hope they will add them back in the final release or else this game is lost to me.

Perhaps some native american organisation has put a case against that. Because some people like you treat their culture like hmm. Please show more respect towards this people.
How about this:
I can not create a character based on real great heroic native americans, like: Sitting Bull, Crazy Horse, Geronimo, Cochise and etc.
This makes me sad, because i love this people and like to honor them. Please inXile give this nations their share and respect.

This is far more better than: i want some gay music group for rangers, therefore please let me abuse and rape the north american native culture.

Came across a backer shrine, I think. All characters get +1 skill point.

Statues and shrines are different. Statues are less well hidden and placed in existing levels, while shrines are dedicated levels found directly on the world map.

Can I just say, I loved how you framed that screenshot. The one character reverently approaching, with the rest hanging back in awe with a goat and a toaster. Now that's Wasteland. Leading up a nearby incline indeed. :)

I got bored, so I decided to take a look at the script files for WL2. I have the files, (in .115 file format) anyone know how I can read them?

God damnit, I both succeed and failed. On one hand, I got inXile's graphics and engine code. On the other hand, oh I decompiled Wasteland 2's source code.

EDIT #1: Day/Night cycles were in at one point, the only code I Can see is just a skybox rotation.

EDIT #2: The entire epilogue and text is in the game, as well as all California scripts. Uh..

EDIT #3: First off, the entire game and dialogue is in the scripts that I decompiled. I now have the entire source code, do not fear devs. I will not be releasing it or telling people how to do it. It was way too easy to do this however, this isn't inXile's fault it's unity's.

Huh, swimming was originally in the game. I found the UI toggle for it. As well as sneaking.

Found this, the entire location list of the game not too spoiler so don't freak out.

Think that's just Unity standard code.

Eh, that's stuff is on Get Localization anyway. I've been pretty happy to see it hasn't leaked. Good guy translators.

They've put in backer portraits, for people who pledged to the $1000 NPC tier:

There's also the portrait of the game's main villain, but I won't post that.

Those portraits look a bit half-assed, in most of them the faces dont exactly "fit" the body, and all of them lack detail.

That's because those are the backer portraits, duh! Are you expecting all backers to be professional artists? I'm already surprised that so many of them can actually draw so you should feel ashamed to criticize their efforts!

:avatard:

Yeah, they aren't as good as some of the other portraits, but hey, real life faces. I'm sure those backers are happy. Apparently inXile said they wouldn't do this, but they changed their minds.

I'm glad that the "screenshot of the 3D model" pregenerated character portraits have been removed and replaced with proper ones.

ah, i thought the portraits were designed by inxile from backer pictures. So the backers themselves sent the portraits in?

Ha, they just had to put in a sewer level. More creativity bankruptcy from inXile.

Sewer levels are so passé. Fighting wolves at the start of the game is where it's at.
