I really want to try this, but my pc can't handle it and I am reluctant to pay full price for the PS4 disk...

We need an official codex review...

Too much busywork on crafting.
Don't think I want to attempt some crafting unless it's easy to acquire and not out of the way.
Overall, they need to offer less Material A1/A2/A3/A4 so forth and just let the player hunt monsters n craft items...
The less 'E to Harvest' crap the better. Those herbs are just trash all over the place. It's DAI all over again.
I honestly do not feel any sense of achievement at all from gathering these herbs just to unlock potions.
I think they knew it's shit that's why they made it alcohol-only refillable - it's still not a great nor fun system to be honest.

I kinda liked the mounted combat, cavalary charging poor archers and spliting them into 2 is entertaining.

Edit: And yeah, crafting is taking a lot of time for wrong reasons.

Should I bother keeping the starting Witcher Steel Sword or can I junk it?

Fuck yeah 60fps on ultra settings with a GTX 970, hairworks is pretty good, it still has a few collision issues but it's good to see hair tech is starting to move forward.

what is the problem?
it's good to see any tech moving forward so why would hair tech be anything different?

They said the best items can only be crafted.

That's AWESOME.
REWARD people for doing POINTLESSLY BORING THINGS.
Why reward people who took risk on taking on DANGEROUS MOBS THAT ARE OVER THEIR LEVELS?
Fuck your stupid bitch ass for taking on mobs 5 levels above you!

I remember reading those crafted best items are actually tied to quests and such. At least that's what they wrote, "journey" kind of crafting. If it is like that I am fine with it, overall I can't be arsed with crafting as well, just want to use whatever sword I pick off a corpse or something.

I hate crafting and enchanting and rune-embedding and all this faggoty larping bullshit in RPGs. It almost always fucks up with loot and itemization. That said it was not that bad in W2.

haha people butthurt about stamina change

the stamina bar is now also your vigor bar, so if you want to roll around like a crazy ass mother**** like in Witcher 2, you no longer can, because rolling around drains your stamina, and if you don't have full stamina, you can't use a vigor. Maybe this **** can be worked around when you level up, but I can't level up when every single sort of boss battle takes me 15 turns to beat. This simple change ruined the combat, and has given me a major headache and probably took a few years out of my life thanks to the frustration.

I get early bugs but what they do inside INVENTORY that overheats GPU?

A game cannot overheat your gpu

Sounds legit.

(Try enabling vertical sync odrzut, framerate is probably going through the roof when the inventory or other in-game menus are open, if true that's some quality coding right there  )

Aight, played it for an hour or so (hardest difficulty obviously:obviously:), didn't hate it actually. Though exploration feels similar to Far Cry 3 in a sense that there's not much going on besides a bunch of herbs / loot crates and randomly spread monsters, clearly i haven't played long enough, but it's not a good feeling. Combat is not as bad as i thought it would be, but fighting more than 3 opponents at a time is a mess due to wonky targeting mechanic. 'Witcher Sense' thingy is very silly, but with the shitty indoors camera and overall busy visuals it can be very easy to skip certain things without it.

Bare ass is shown 3 minutes into the game, some might find that appealing, i found it funny, in fact i can't shake the feeling off that i'm playing 'Witcher 3:Booty Chase' ever since.
Overall it's worth a try.

And yeah, performance wise - so far, so good. High setting on a fairly old rig i5-760(2800), 4gb ram(yep), ASUS R9270 2GB vidiya. Drops down to 30 fps when you get on a hill or in a very populated area, but other than that it sits at about 60 and feels pretty smooth.

Switch off the pre-explored markings and exploration gets better. Much, much better in fact. And I'm still in the starting region, there are at least two more, several times as big.

Yep, turned them off immediately. On screen tutorials too (afaik they are responsible for MMO-ish ! and ? on quest related NPCs).
