Skyrim has more actual gameplay mechanics and is far less of a wannabe-movie than Twitcher 3. It's also much less woke and the environments are less repetitive, which is impressive, considering that it's supposed to be the frozen North.

I think they're on the same level. Yes, Skyrim has better open world (at least it has some dungeons), but the writing in Witcher 3 is better. Skyrim is just a generic story about the evil dragon that wants to destroy the world because of the "ancient prophecy".

(and even manage to slip in some good music from the otherwise infamous Wiedźmin television show)

Music from the show was the best thing about it and it was one of the last pieces of music written by the late Grzegorz Ciechowski.

Here it is in W3:

Melody kicks in around 2:10.
It's not better than Baldur's Gate 2, Dragon Age: Origins, or Morrowind/Skyrim.
I specifically meant the soundtrack.

You should it has some great moments.

Like when Ciri decides to fuck old fat dude that just fell of a horse (she is like 12) because why not? But he dies before they get it on from fall injuries.

Sapkowski self-insert fantasy?

There’s a certain subset of older man who is susceptible to becoming worshipful of the ‘Lolita’. Anything that Sapkowski wrote that includes Ciri is entirely a product of that obsession.
unlike those fags sapkowski doesn't have a background in literature or any asshat cultural association and has never interacted much if at all with high brow intellectuals
his only child was a son whom he unfortunately outlived due to cancer
it's literally not the case for him

You probably mean Neratin Ceka? We have absolutely no explanations about his age or appearance. Why did you decide he's "old and fat"? The only thing we know about him is that he was called "hermaphrodite" by Stefan Skellen. So it's highly likely that he looked like some kind of gay.

He means Hotsporn, the Merchant Guild member and handler of the Rats. I remember the incident as humorous, since he was mebbe 25ish, but seemed OLD to the 15ish Ciri.
Neratin Ceka had no such interactions with Ciri.

But its a medieval era themed game, women were married at 12-13 and life expectancy was much less

A 13-15 year having sex with an older man was normal in those times. Being historically accurate isnt a example of any author having paedophile tendencies

Sapkowski doesn’t write from a medieval perspective and didn’t create a medieval world. That’s why you get things like jokes about mages having UN-style meetings about concern over Salmon migration and global warming which are then ignored by local governments, which was topical when the stories were written.

Sapkowski is a dirty old man with a personal inclination towards ‘simping’ worship of nymphy teen girls. Not exactly the rarest condition on the planet, who cares? But it’s true, and any story he wrote with Ciri in it only serves that fetish. He’s at his best writing about Geralt riding a crappy river barge and exterminating nuisance monsters for a few shekels.

Yes but most books written in a fantasy world have medieval influence around there underlying themes like age of sex and marriage

They may not call it " medieval " but the inspiration and concepts are clear

Look at GOT, its got rape and incest themes and underage sex. But you wouldnt call George RR Martin a paedophile or having paedophile tendencies

But I admit I havent read the Witcher books, I am just providing context around why these themes exist and its mostly because its historically aligned to the reality of those times

I don’t need your ‘context’. I’m talking about the man and what he shows of himself and his interests in his writing, which is obvious if you have, you know, read it. Someone like Roman Polanski is the same.
