I also love to hang around sub forums of games that I utterly hate and that have no redeeming qualities in my eyes and discuss them to death.
I dont hate it, just disappointed in obsidian. With what theyve done in the past i was expecting better.

Also what the fuck is it with codexers nowdays? "if you dont like it dont talk about it" bullshit, shouldnt even be brought up in this site.

PoE is the best kickstarter game for me so far
What? no it isnt, as i said before, it isnt a bad game, but Dragonfall and D:OS are better.

I really enjoyed D:OS at the start because of environment interaction and all the ways in which you can combine elemental spells but once the novelty wore off, the total derpy setting*, arguing with myself, Diablo like loot and WoW aesthetic started to irate me. I can recognize it has great value because it tries to innovate and push the genre forward but PoE is just more up my alley as the overall package or template atleast.

Dragonfall is next on my playlist, have pretty high expectations given that quite a few Codexers seem to praise it. I'm probably gonna jump right into it without doing Shadowrun Returns first as I understand it's better in every way and not story related.

*I realize they were going for this Monty Pythonesque humor in a fantasy setting but it just didn't do it for me. I'm not some big Larian fan anyway, I liked Divine Divinity well enough but while it had some humorous moments it still had a very different overall tone and atmosphere (plus I really liked the music).

XP is a reward any time failure is a possibility. Challenge Ratings, as introduced in D&D 3x, should be used to modify the amount rewarded based on the relative challenge.

Next question.
