What irks me is how they present Garrett as some kind of hipster who embraces thievery as a zen-like life philosophy.

Yeah, just like all the people pirating their nuThiaf. Surely something they can get behind.:troll:

Btw., I don't think old-fag Garret was completely without sympathy for other people. He still had some attachment to the keepers and especially his old mentor(?) Artemus, but I got the impression that he wouldn't admit it to himself for most of the first two games.
He definitely was a very cynical and practical-minded person, though.

The fact that you can't even manually jump anymore should be hint enough what a travesty this is going to be.

The reason you could jump everywhere in the old games was because of console limitation, with new and stronger console hardware now we have finally reached a point where you can only jump where the devs allow you to. :kafka

Steve gets a Kidney but I don't even get a tag.
He certainly didn't strike me as someone who could be bothered to collect trophies of his exploits in his (TOTALLY NON-OBVIOUS CLOCKTOWER) hideout.
The totally non-obvious clocktower hideout would also work out great if - heaven forbid! - it was discovered. After all, a master thief could easily escape from a tall, solitary structure through the---

---well, it would totally work, haterz!

It would totally work because the guards would mistake it for a museum due to all the trophies displayed!

Even makes awesome sense, hiding in a clocktower. I mean, what better inconspicuous, unobtrusive place to hide in than a tower THAT FUCKING TAFFING EVERYONE WILL LOOK AT WHEN THEY WANT TO SEE THE TAFFING TIME!

It doesn't happen often that a dev gets every single thing wrong. It's impressive in itself

From what they have released about it so far, it's not even AssCreed level of contextual actions. At least there you could climb/jump onto and from pretty much every wall/cliff/overhang.

I haven't been keeping up with the news for this. I was worried my fears would be realised. I had no idea it would be this bad. Jesus Christ ...

No, it's all because they've made an Assassin's Creed clone using the UE3, and then Square Enix ordered to reskin the game ASAP.

At least the new interview confirms that Square has given them an ultimatum ship date. It will go to retail in February regardless of whether or not it is finished (it won't be).

Garrett can just jump out of it and dive harmlessly on the pile of leaves below

Well I must congratulate devs of the new Thief, after Fallout 3 I thought it would be impossible that any game would made me rage that much.

“We’ve seen players who don’t even bother to read anything they find. We have to make sure the game is fun for them, too.”

Garrett is a Master Chief, so he’s really flexible in terms of how he handles situations. You can be fast and aggressive, wiping out an entire room before anyone knew you were there.

I hope Fallout 4 will keep up the good work from Fallout 3. I just hope they fix the most glaring issues, namely the lack of a decent cover system and remove altogether all those boring, long conversations and add more action scenes. Maybe those really cool cinematics where you press one button to do a really awesome move to kill the enemy, ya know? Also, walking on that huge world is so boring. First, i dont even know where to go, and second i have to walk all of that? Why not a vehicle cutscene or like just teleport your character there already? Another thing i hated was having to open every single one of those metal boxes hoping for a fucking stimpack. Why not just restore my health automatically? What is this, the 90's? Hello?

Edit: Forgot to mention, why this game doesnt have multiplayer already?

I was being ironic, this whole post was a joke
