I don't remember it saying 2018.
As I said in the other thread, implementing multi-party drop-in/drop-out co-op for this type of game is going to be a ton of work. Just imagine the kind of bugs that could pop up...
Three years seems optimistic to me.
Japan reporting in: fuck Wasteland 2 and 3.The initial rush is over, it's starting to stall out now. Let's hope that Japan and Australia will pick up the slack in a few hours.
Last game was shit but it was slightly better then other shitty games so Ill give them money to make yet another shitty game.
That's exactly why we've been supporting Obsidian for the past 10 years.
Atleast Obsidian games, while flawed, are fun to play.
Waitwaitwaitwaitwait...
... what the fuck is that cinematic view doing in this game?
So maybe Codex could make a collective investment of let's say 10k? And get some ingame reward or whatever

With the bridges being burned between the Codex and BN, I can't see that happen really soon.
I can "restore communications" when I feel we have something to communicate. Right now we don't.
Maybe Infinitron can give us an update on restoring communications?

I meant that the Codex will probably be a bit reluctant to shower inXile in gold coins after the blacklist stuff.
You hope? Wasn't inXile supposed to be your enemy?Let's hope that Japan and Australia will pick up the slack in a few hours.

I don't know if I can agree with that. Often the concept sounded better on paper for me,
than the game really played. With Obsidian it's more of a case of supporting ideas to exist
in this world in the hopes of someday there may by something for myself to enjoy.
In this regard Obisidian are at least handling themselves better, as say, Double Fine.
As for Wasteland 2. I ended up replaying Wasteland 1 again. The first time I played
it seriously on PC. Before I only played on my C-64. When I booted up Wasteland 2,
I don't know, I played the first bits for a little and thought the beginning might
just feel a little slow. In the meantime I have played several character builds
in Underrail and will most likely end up playing Age of Decadence, before
returning to Wasteland 2. Then again, by that time Barkley 2 might have
been released and I'll be playing this. Yeah, I still believe it will happen,
call me gullible.
Ok, forget about the ingame bar or whatever. If we do it as an investment we will get profit? How much profit will 10k give us?So maybe Codex could make a collective investment of let's say 10k? And get some ingame reward or whatever

D:OS 1 raised a million bucks on Kickstarter, WL 2 raised almost three. Now Swen claims that D:OS 1 sold 1.5 million copies, while Fargo boasts with "600,000+" sold. No wonder they felt the need to cram in co-op for the sequel.
Besides the cringe-worthy video which shows Fargo dreams himself an actor same as Chris Roberts dreams himself a movie director, Wasteland 3 deserves to get money if will have the visual direction of the Bischoff brothers and the gameplay/combat mechanics of Underrail.
