Lot of digital only crap, pay more for an extra jpeg of the cloth map!
The "Focus more on digital content" option got a lot of votes. Anyway, they are supposed to be incentives, you are basically just throwing money at them in the hope of getting some salvageable game out of it. Any $100+ tier will not be cost effective by default.

Hmmph, that $250 tier sounds pretty good. But $250. At least the box is only $110 if I decide only for that.

Must do more models for W2 to get the money and give them back. :keepmymoney: :takemymoney:

I liked the fact that if you donate 10.000 you get an invite for a party but still have to pay for travel expenses. I don´t think they will get many of those, but for having someone deposit such faith on a product they could shave off a few thousand and pay for travel, even if it´s on a low cost coach flight.

The idea behind this is to raise more money to make the game, not to give away extra goodies.

$25 to get the game is kind of high though.

Which is what I wrote.
Personally I'm thinking $125, but we'll see about my financial situation when the KS starts.

Why the hell do they have limits on digital rewards too?
OK, there's that "your name on a tombstone" which already means more than a thousand tombstones ( :retarded: ) but this basically says: "Hey, these higher tiers sold out, how about you pay only $25 just for the game". Yeah, that's sure to get more funds.

And just 3000 limit for the box... W2 got more than 5000 on that tier alone.

I guess the idea is that seeing "Awesome Exclusive Reward! (only 2 of 6 slots still available)" is more attractive than a simple "Awesome Reward!", same as those infomercials that tell you to call NOW or you'll miss out on the extras.

It's generally related to giving out Numenera PnP content, like the core book or player's guide, which we will not have infinite amounts of, even digitally.

That seems kinda dumb. You're telling me that you're gonna limit all higher tiers and to such small numbers?
Well, good luck then. Guess $25 is better than a couple of hundreds minus whatever the rewards cost.

Anyways, will only back if the 2D stretch goal is reached, if i get the slightest inkling that the game will be 3D, then i won´t give them any money.

I suppose... and they probably hope this will give them a big boost at the start and then add other tiers later.

Yeah, that's what I think will happen.

The tiers are really weird, they give this vibe of inXile being too stingy with the rewards. I'll probably go for the Oddity Collector, but obviously it will depend on how many funds I'll have at the moment of the campaign start. Stingy inXile.

Maybe the costs of actually producing and shipping rewards for the physical tiers scared them. They do actually have one successful KS campaign under their belts, which is more experience than most.

Well I'm glad the collector's edition is at $110 since that's all the money I have to spend. Will definitely be getting that.

The tiers looks good, and glad they went mostly digital rewards, so they have more money for the actual game development.

I think the $25 tier will have to suffice for me. This is probably the KS project I'm the least excited about.

The logo is pretty ugly so if the t-shirt is just a black thing with the logo -- then nope. Perhaps going for a game box...

Fuck it, I'll let the pitch try to convince me.

It's more like the earliest Kickstarters kinda screwed over the later ones by going way too cheap. Losing about a third on percentages and rewards is just too much, especially if you want to present a reasonable minimum. It's not so much stinginess as switching Kickstarter from "omg dreamboat" to "this is just realistic".

put the first tier higher then. ffs. put it at $29 with an added incentive like a wallpaper or some shit. they should have hired me as well, I swear I can improve any KS I see.

look at PEs lowest tier:
DIGITAL DOWNLOADABLE COPY OF PROJECT ETERNITY. This price is only available for those who help fund before the game is released! All Kickstarter backers will receive a special Kickstarter only in-game achievement and item. (The item will not affect the game's balance). Includes Cooking with Tim – An RPG-themed e-Cookbook, and Making of Project Eternity Documentary (streaming).

look at Nuemenerar:
REWARDS: Digital Game, Digital Game Manual. In appreciation of you placing your faith and trust in us, this price is at a significant discount compared to what it will be at release.

digital goods has 0 production cost. holy shit -- add some shit to the first tier.

But certainly the remaining 2 thirds of 3 million are more than 2 thirds of 1 million. Not sure why you're talking in percentages instead of the total sum you need to raise when you're talking about money left for the game. Because if you raise less money than that's less money for the game too, even if the percentage lost on rewards is smaller.
I suppose Fargo knows what he's doing, though... dunno.

They clearly believe they will not raise significantly lesser amounts with this approach. Also so far people have overwhelmingly supported a stronger focus on digital tiers. Oh well, we shall see.
