Community and public communication is one part of my job, and reading/posting on forums is just a part of that. I was already doing that before I was brought on board, would be a bit senseless to pay me to just do exactly what I was doing.

And that's why you shouldn't do shit for free in the first place!

Of course I don't think any devs have to pay people for forum outreach/moderation type stuff. Suckers Fans do it for the love.

I like the idea. Just because fans get some input to the game doesn't mean it's automatically gonna be shit.

:roll:He was hired to read and post on forums.
I was hired as a producer, and that is what I am spending the largest part of my time on, with a strong current focus on working closely with Kevin to set up Torment and its Kickstarter, but I'm also working with the WL2 team on several of their production-end needs. Community and public communication is one part of my job, and reading/posting on forums is just a part of that. Yeah... i was also hired as a producer last time i worked on a construction site. They called me a... Concrete mixer producer.
And... brick line producer.
 Production-end needs.
..aaahh..
I also know a few ladies who work as a ... hygiene line producers at the public toilet. You think thats funny? Did you know that James Brown also worked at the public toilet as a public order producer?
Production. Its a Tough business.

(man, this one was good... ah, excuse me, i was just doing some joint line production)

.. you know, they better abuse all they can from you if they think im going to be paying your wages.

anyway, as i was saying, some humility would be much more befitting.

if it was me that got "hired" as a "lol producer" ... i wouldnt use the word "we" for at least two to three years. For anything.
Before i would get to actually be "we" in the same sentence with "making the game".

...generally speaking.

Can you imagine how fucking scary it must be to ask Hiver to bring you a brick from the pile? The fear that the last thing you'll ever see is his smiling face as he bashes your head to a bloody pulp with said brick? Me neither.

I like the idea. Just because fans get some input to the game doesn't mean it's automatically gonna be shit.
But the possibility of it increases dramatically.
Fans, or at least Fanbases and demographics, always had a 'say' in how a game's supposed to be. So there's no loss here. On another hand, I see much to gain from demystifying the developers, keeping them from becoming insular like so many AAA devs out there.

Yeah, just ask Bioware how good has been the fanbase feedback. Or those dumb proposals that you can read in the T:ToN forum. Right, no loss here.

Yeah, because InXile are a bunch or ivory tower mystified mofos that don't interact with the fans, specially for two Kickstarter projects (one just few weeks/months from starting).

Get lost, you turdlicker shitslurper. :kicks Derpterius in the kidney really hard: Leave inXile alone fuckface or ill bite something off. Mkay?

As long as they reach their 2D stretch goal... all the other bullshit discussions about the game can be handled by the line-producer.

Actually, you answer that by "yes Sir! how high?" hut-hut-hut!

Nothing can stop the production.
Nothing!

Perish the thought.
Never had i heard such vulgarity on the construction site.

We usually refer to one another with well put, precise articulations, elegant in purpose and delivery.
Such as, "May i partake of your bricks, dear chap, if it isnt too much of a bother?"
Or, "How much of concrete should i poor in your bucket, sah?"

I wish I could be voting on all those inane topics but I just am not getting any confirmation email.

I had the same problem. Go to the main inXile website and click on support and contact them that way and explain you are not getting your confirmation email.

Also did you check your spam folder?
