Some codexers don't like games and never really liked games. Oh, sure, they might like a small handful of games, they may even love them, but they don't like games in general. They don't want a new game, all they want is a game that plays like a glorified mod of those small handful.

Only good and great ones and there's just a handful of these.

Now, I can retort most Codexers here loooooove games, especially the garbage shilled on steam.

You certainly aren't among those targeted by that message. You have a quite open mind when it comes to indie games, from Warbanners to Telepath Tactics to Sanctus Reach you play everything as long as the combat is good. Hell you even showed interest in Dark Crystal Tactics, something most codexers wouldn't give a chance by theme alone.
The rant seens way more targeted at those ubiquitous retards going "Fallout 1/Gothic 2/Jagged Alliance 2/Xcom was the only good game ever made, games can either be clone of that or shit"
