Finally we get to experience the vision of year 2000 GPU box art. That looks like those VR speculation videos from the early 90's.

They're already here:There's supposed to be a new Stygian Sentinel update today, maybe there'll be more screenshots there.

that giant looming statue of a man in the second screenshot doesn't look like it should melt next to all the lava.
I'm more concerned with some questionable art direction. For example, the screen shot below has waaay too much yellow. It's over saturated with it. Looks pretty crappy. There needs to be more contrast with colors.
The first photo where we see a view of a dungeon wall and the stairs looks well done. However the stone looks too clean and needs more grime. There is too much yellow and needs to be toned down and more shadows added. But overall I can't wait to try the game.
We agree and this was taken as a Work in Progress pic. Don't worry there will be dust, spiderwebs exc as needed.

I agree. Clouds definitely look photoshopped in. And the statue doesn't even appear behind the temple/column thingy. I'm guessing it was too hard to get the layering right or something. Regardless, the statue clearly is not visible between some of the pillars. I mean the size indicates that we should see plenty of it behind those structures.

Jeez, now I'm all super paranoid. Because if that statue is shopped, then it makes sense that the clouds are obscuring exactly where it should be most visible behind the temple/ruins/column thing.
EDIT: And then they threw in some clouds in the upper corner for balance and maybe to obscure other shopping.
I guess that unreal* effect isn't intended, but I actually really like how the different elements in the world look super weird and out of proportion.
