I did! See page 33. :D It's probably on his 'to do' list of more complex issues, or he has decided that it isn't worth the bother, it's not really that big a problem. Personally I find those dots kind of annoying, but they are easily ignored, and I didn't even see them before my last playthrough.

There's also a dot at the Tarant entrance. It's the last house to south-west, right along the main street(over the bridge, past the boil and over the other bridge).

Today, I tried to sail to ashbury in the latest verysion (80612) and when I get there it is really laggy. The cursor that means it's loading ,the watch one, is going crazy. I have a lot of followers so I thought that was it, but I had them all leave my group and it was still not working properly. Drogg or anyone else, could you help me out?
Try running the game in the safe mode.

Do you mean run windows in safe mode and than play? If not, how do I run Arcanum only in safe mode?

Create a new shortcut to Arcanum.exe and add "-no3d" (without quotations) to its target line.

Thanks a lot. Though in the past, I found it full of problems too.

For some reason, playing the game for about an hour normally causes a memory leak and my computer has to shut down. Playing it in safe mode eliminates that problem though. I also use the D3DWindower to play it in a window and get barely any slow-down.

Reinstall DirectX and your video drivers.

Good idea. I think the problem might have started after I reformatted.

OH YEAH, AND FOR ALL YOU POWERGAMING IDIOTS: I FOUND SOMETHING INTERESTING WITHIN 5 MINUTES OF RESEARCH!!!

http://brededor.narod.ru/progs/arcanum50patch.htm

Yeah, that's right! It's a hyperlink! You know what it leads to? It's a file called Arcanum Universal Cap Remover. Cap as in LEVEL CAP! Universal as in it works with any unpacked Arcanum.exe file, which all of Drog's patches use!

Why don't you try putting the application file into your Arcanum directory and double-clicking on it?! TRY IT! Oh wait, you're not done yet. You have to download new XP values for the added levels and copy them into the rules directory. Hey what do you know?! You can get these at Terra-Arcanum, in this archive.

YOU'RE WELCOME, DOUCHEBAGS! *levels up all his dudes past level 50*

Dunno wether it's a bug or not, but it sure is pretty annoying.

When my party members start spamming fire, earth,... elementals they tend to do well untill the enemy is defeated. However, afterwards, they turn against their master and start bashing him/her to death. The most annoying part of this, is that the other party members heal up the elemental, so it wont get killed...

That's...never happened to me before. Maybe one of your party members is damaging the elemental, causing it to turn on them?

It is very normal when you use range weapons under real time...

I was being sarcastic, Internet companion!

Z'an A'lurin kept summoning earth elementals that did the same thing, without fail. Just with the golems; fire elementals were my buddies! They always went aggressive and I had to keep fighting them off. I'd always win even with all the healing (throwing weapons are elementals' worst enemy), but yeah. I played in turn based.

Well, this is certainly awkward. The shopkeeper at the Captain's Quarters in Blackroot seems to be stuck. I helped myself to the contents of the two barrels in the main room. The guy had mithril and some pure ore!

I couldn't access the actual shop dialogue since the door to his bedroom was locked, but then something very surreal occurred. One of those female villagers in the blue dresses walked into the store, opened the locked door and then immediately left. Huh.

Yeah, so then I talked to him.

Please, good sir! What can I do for you?!

I think you are right, i think it usually happens when raven casts a rain spel, causing area damage, damaging friendlies just as well. But i am not certain.

The elementals don't turn hostile, they just attack party members, whome attack the element. It might be this: Smythe summons an element and so does Raven, Raven casts rain spell. Smythe's elemental turns hostile, Raven's doens't. Anyway it happend a few times now.

There is a problem with one of your fixes, Drog:

"-NPCs will no longer pick up boulders on their own."

This causes a problem with Vooriven altar fixing quest. Murgo will no longer pick up the large boulder in Torin Quarry. I can't pick it up myself (strength 14, nothing else in inventory), so this basically breaks this main quest path for me.

Yeah, I'll second this, it's also annoying if your inventory is full; you have to throw all your stuff on the ground (or give it to other party members), pick it the boulder up, transfer it, then pick up your stuff again, it's just unnecessary. There aren't that many boulders in the game, and you're often supposed to pick them up anyway...

People wanted this fix badly, so I implemented it. Oh, well, I'll revert it back in the next version.

I know this may be difficult, but is there any way to make an exception for the boulder you need for the alter quest?

I'm not really familiar with Arcanum's scripting language, so I have no idea how this would be done.

If it comes down all boulders or none, I'm not sure what people would prefer. Probably all boulders, since it's difficult to complete the alter quest without letting your party members lug the stone around.

There's only a few boulders in the game (there's no prototype, they're all unique), so I had to put OIF_NO_NPC_PICKUP flag on each of them. The boulders can be found only in Torin's Quarry and Theo's field. I can easily leave flags on Theo's boulders, but then again, the quest will be impossible for weak characters.

A small bump on the progress.

The boulders fix has been reverted. Also, the random encounters system has been changed back to 1.0.7.4. version (a scalable one) with a few important changes: you still get powerful encounters even after 45-49 lvl (originally encounters were ceasing at this point). In addition, an important typo has been fixed, now orcish bandits have ogres in their gang from time to time, as it was intended.

Also, many new fixes were added, check the first post.
