Time
In Ort, time stands still when you do. This adds another dimension of strategy, as you are able to consider your moves carefully. There is nothing holding you back – as long as you are moving or performing an action, your enemies will come rushing to destroy you.
I'd like to continue on with this thread. Are people finding this useful? Are people interested in seeing this thread getting updated for next year? I'd like opinions, ideas, and if those aren't going to happen, I will also accept insults.

Eschalon is turn-based - everything takes one action, no variation in speed. From what you can see in the trailer, Ort has more granular time, and even projectiles stop midair when it pauses. My bad, you're probably right, from the description :

Kind of like Eschalon then?

Stirring Abyss
Stirring Abyss is a PC game of deep ocean exploration and strategy. You take charge of a U.S. Navy expedition during the early years of the Cold War. The crew find themselves stranded among the ruins of a forgotten civilization, their submarine too badly damaged to escape the depths. Featuring gripping Lovecraftian storytelling, hauntingly beautiful underwater environments, diverse combat and characters, and a chilling original soundtrack. The abyss calls. Do you have the will to answer?
Currently trying to raise money on Indiegogo, probably doesn't succeed.
