That name sounds really familier, and not from Bloodlines.

He was the 'leader' of the 'Mage Union' in the WoW Mage Forum. Well, he was until a CM exposed the fact that he was creating multiple alts to agree with himself and artificially inflate the apparent size of the 'Mage Union'.

Sounds like this BL patch is a better use of time and resources. I always refused to use the other ones because they changed the game, and it was more or less fine without them.

I think this sounds good, exept the respawning at the end. To me, that part of the original game did not work. I had to cheat to get to the top of the Ventrue Tower.

It'd be nice if some folks could realise that mature doesn't mean T&A from a digital pimp to horny teen boys.

A RPG aimed a mature audience should be more like Planescape: Torment with interesting plot and characters, rather than Dead or Alive: Xtreme Beach Vollyball tit action. Adding tits for the sake of tits to it doesn't make it "mature". It makes it cheap pornography.

If you can't take a little joking or criticism without you sulking then you aren't nearly as mature as you like to think.

The patch is a good option for folks, but don't get too full of yourself now that you won't get in the dirt and play with the rest of us. ;)

this is why people who spank it to anime should not be allowed to post.

i hinted no good would come of this.

I managed to kill Ming with my Toreador, albeit with great difficulty. My Malky just couldn't do it though, so I had to cheat.

Damn Troika, why couldn't they have been competent businessmen as well as inspired game-makers?

I killed her with my Mr Sneaky Axe Murderer Malkavian. I vaguely remember exploiting some bug or something though. Softened her up with my non-ubar gun skillz because she couldn't get to me very easily or something...then finished her off with some non-subtle hacking.

[Oops. Just read the rest of the thread. "Exploiting the AI's inability to reach you and less like actually using strategy". Ermm...yup, call me guilty]

Oh for fuck's sake, who attracted Tess to this forum? You little shits, the idiot managed to make my WoW playing days an even worse experience. Going to the forums to read tess' little revolution was a window into delusion that I really would prefer to not see repeated here.

Yeah, definitely the hardest challenge in the game. My circle-strafing Brujah with Celerity and Spazz Shotgun/Flamethrower took care of her after several close-up attempts though, which seems to be the only plausible thing to do to kill her. The problem with guns in Bloodlines is that only the ones I mentioned here are worth it, trying most of the other guns = pure suicide, if that was the intention of White Wolf/Troika or if it was "cool" according to the source material, I don't give a shit, weapons which are utterly useless for all characters from the beginning and keep being so for the remainder of the game shouldn't be included. A slight buff there wouldn't have hurt the gameplay at all.

I'm amazed to see that people would "welcome" a newcomer to their forum board by lashing out at that person with a bunch of unwarranted innuendo and abuse, but such is the way of fools. You have my sympathies... truly.

Have you spent any time on the other threads here? You've been treated better than most newcomers. Especially since your attitude is a bit stuck up. I can understand your differences with WESP, but to think that your way is absolutely correct makes you a moron.

Has Role-Player been indulging in the nude patches then?

I only beat the meat to furry goodness, as I'm sure a refined gentleman and purveyor of fur such as yourself must know!

No, I followed in a link from the Planet Vampire forums while browsing them. I believe it was a thread about some hostility between Tessera and Wesp (the latter being the author of the unofficial patches we've been pointing out in our past news items). I realized that there was actually a different patch and when I checked it, found his site with the true patch.

I assume you mean to suggest there's some foul play involved in pointing out one of the patches is actually a patch as opposed to the other one which isn't exclusively one? If so, why is that?

Speaking of which, where's the fair play in claiming a suite of gameplay modifications that also fixes some bugs is a patch?

I direct you to any patch devs release after the game is gold.

no foul play noted or implied. both change things and neither were authored by troika. mods... patches... call them whatever the fuck you want.

Right, because bug fixes are the exact same thing as arbitrary fan modifications. So tell me, at what point did Troika's decision of giving ficticious names to the ranged weapons was a bug that need fixing?

Yet you proposed I should adhere to your suggested nomenclature to preserve fair play. Which is it? If you're not implying it then why would I need to worry about it?

Wesp calls his works "unofficial patches" while Acrimonious calls his patches "true patches". I'm refering to them as they are called by the authors, nothing more. Then again, where's the problem of calling Acrimonious' work as a "true patch"? It sticks closer to the idea of a patch than Wesp's work, regardless of quality or intention associated with each.
