Troika was founded and staffed by lots of industry veterans that were fleeing a collapsing behemoth.
Yes, and they were never able to finish a single one of their games until their studio collapsed because nobody would trust them with anything worthwhile.

Truly, who are these random people to take up on such a legend as 15 years worth of fan patching.

Well KS wasn't a thing back then, so sailing on a promise and delivering a game priced demo were not an option. But nowadays?

I never really cared for any of the whitewolf properties, so I never even bothered playing Bloodlines. Vampire going down the SJW rabbit hole isn't exactly a huge leap to me, although I expect the paradox DLC death crush to be way more disruptive to the RPG experience than anything else. I guess if I ever do hanker to play a bloodsucker game the good one is still out there untainted for me.
Honestly, aside from all that shit I think people are too unconcerned about the developers of this, it strikes me similar to people expecting a competent Planescape: Torment sequel from the developers of Super Stacker and Choplifter HD: https://rpgcodex.net/forums/index.p...live-on-in-eternity.76239/page-8#post-2278162

Who the fuck are these people, and why would they be the right choice or posess the requisite skills to develop a sequel to Bloodlines?:

Rudi is a gay black Muslim who is all about feminism.
It's not like VtmB anarchs weren't clowns anyways...
Sure, but they weren't marketed as main characters. "Damsel is a rebel with Kropotkin in her mind and Marx on her heart, she smashes the patriarchy and looks good doing it. Her unabashed communism shines like a star against the misogynist Camarilla and the white prince, LaCroix." It comes off as a parody of everything SJW. Rudi is a gay black Muslim feminist.

Bloodlines 2 is a gay black Muslim who is all about feminism.

It'll be on the box, read it first here, one year in advance!

Kotaku: Woke/10

Well they sure sucked & drained all hype out of me. They're even more afraid of calling this game RPG then man in woman's dress tranny. That worries me the most

All this woke shit is just lame and with no edge. You can't be edgy fighter against system when every multi-billion company is ready to financialy die for your fetish of destroying west to come true. That's SJW's Paradox, right there

Ugh. VtmB had then popular Che t-shirted commies, so it's no wonder to me modern VM has this. Whatever this is, this arab spring / vegan eco terrorist / 3rd wave feminism shit IS statistically representative to modern society, because statistically the majority of said society has no fucking idea about shit they proclaim to follow.

It’s fifteen years later and things have changed,” Mitsoda said. “We have to be very sensitive about how we handle things like mental illness and that was a concern for us and for Paradox, in how we can make a mature story but if we do anything, we do our homework and make sure that we are punching up and not punching down.”

“We talk about these issues constantly,” Ellison added. “Because we care about including people, we want them to feel powerful and sexy, and we don’t want them to feel like it’s not for them.”

:prosper:

I just realized that this also implies Brian thinks they didn’t do Malkavians/Jeanette well.

Fucking hell...

One thing i am wondering about is will they remove histories.I have a feeling they are going to butcher the rpg elements and make something like vampyr which was horribly mediocre.

1 - Vanilla Bloodlines didn't have histories, patches added them and mods restored them.

2 - They already said that choosing a background is part of CC and that this is supposed to have reactivity. Having been a cop and entering the police station causes you to be recognized, for an example.

3 - Unfortunately this doesn't necessarily mean they won't remove RPG elements outside of clan and story reactivity.
