My team has the sexiest and deadliest waifus you can recruit.

“YOU’RE IN THE GAME NOW SON. EVER SINCE THE NIGHT YOU GOT BIT. THAT’S JUST HOW IT IS NOW.”

- Josephine, lieutenant of the Baron

The repetition of 'now' in two of three very short concurrent sentences really sticks out. I don't know an editor who wouldn't have suggested removing one of the two instances*. Instead, hardsuit opted to use this text as the sole piece of dialogue for their faction reveal. Cool.

*Especially given that the text is being presented here on its own and will therefore be scrutinized to a greater degree than if it was in a story or just spoken lines in the game.

Predictions about the remaining factions:

  1. Greenpeace women gangren clan
  2. Transwoman toreador faction
  3. Computer nerd women (too trivial)
Two of these three.

It should be enough to have only one warning at the beginning of the game.

They canceled hands-on demo at PDXCON because "the team has needed to focus their efforts on providing the best possible game experience at launch and, unfortunately, the time to prepare a standalone demo for PDXCON wasn’t possible": https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/index.php?threads/update-on-pdxcon-content.1247177/

As a compensation they will give a copy of Bloodlines 2 to every attendee of PDXCON.

index.php

PDXCON 2019 is right around the corner, and we’re putting the finishing touches on what is sure to be our biggest and most exciting event in Paradox history. While we can’t wait to see you in Berlin, we do have an important update regarding Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 and its availability at the event. Unfortunately, we will not be able to provide the hands-on demo with this game that we had originally planned for PDXCON, which we know comes as a disappointment -- but we have plans to make it up to everybody with the best reward we can think of for Bloodlines fans everywhere.

The decision to remove the hands-on Bloodlines 2 demo was not one we took lightly. We know many fans were excited to join us at PDXCON for the chance to try the game, but the team has needed to focus their efforts on providing the best possible game experience at launch and, unfortunately, the time to prepare a standalone demo for PDXCON wasn’t possible. We know our most devoted fans were eager to be the first to try the game in Berlin, but not to worry: we’re going to make it up to you.

For starters, we’re giving you a free copy of Bloodlines 2 First Blood Edition. You read that right: every attendee of PDXCON 2019, at all ticket levels, will find a Steam code for Bloodlines 2 in their goodie-bag at the show. Secondly, there’s still going to be plenty of Bloodlines 2 content at PDXCON, enough to slake the thirst of any kindred! At PDXCON, we’ll be showing a demo never-before-seen by the public, giving you the first chance to see the game’s opening and your first moments as a Thinblood. You’ll have the chance to meet a big part of the development and publishing team through a juicy line-up of talks and presentations, meet & greets and sharing a look behind the scenes of the game’s development. You’ll be able to meet Brian Mitsoda, Cara Ellison and more from the Hardsuit Labs team, covering topics such as animation, world-building, narrative, and more. A detailed schedule will be available next week.

Let’s not forget, of course, that there are also plenty more games at PDXCON, and a lot of surprises still to come!

Finally, if this change to the program is still a deal-breaker for you, then we understand, and we are prepared to offer a cancellation of your ticket purchase at a full refund. You can refund your ticket for the next two weeks, up until October 3rd, no questions asked.

We hope to see you in Berlin, and we thank you for being the best fans we could ask for!
