I have no doubt this is going to be an unmitigated disaster. I already feel how the writing is massive cringe.

The original game also had problems with development, but yet it turned out to be brilliant (although flawed).

Oh, it's not about the troubled development, it's everything else. Their statements about respecting sex workers, Mitsoda's whipped look, it having too high of a budget for its own good, the newest VtM edition being pretty crap. It exudes cringe vibes.

Mediocre is generous, it looked worse than 2004 Bloodlines.
Talk about roleplaying - when you can't even have proper inventory to keep your guns in. Or stealth that was cut. Which makes no sense when BL2 promotes itself on being so obvious Dishonored-like game.
LOL! Actually it's the other way around. Troika already cut some blood and sex in the original Bloodlines which the Unofficial Patch restores. Like I found it already half-done, as if Activision stepped in and said that they couldn't release it that way...
Wait, what? What was that content again?

What, this again?

Zer0wing is probably referring to the fact that the game seemingly has no explicit "stealth stat". But as I pointed out last year, it does have at least one core character ability that indicates that stealth is a playstyle that they're taking into consideration:

Also is there any stealth? Have they said anything about it? I mean no Obfuscate, no Nos. Getting suspicious.

What do you mean by stealth? If somebody has their back turned to you they can't see you, there's your stealth.

If you're talking about some specialized ability related to stealth, the Thinblood has some of that: https://www.bloodlines2.com/en/thinblood

• Mist Shroud (Blood Cost: 2), Nebulation’s first active power, envelops the vampire with mist for a short time, muffling footsteps and making them slightly harder to notice.

Trigger warnings were obviously intended for the original Bloodlines they just didn't have the tech and the time to implement them properly. I'm sure Wesp will fix it and restore the feature to perfect the true vision!

And I thought I defeated my urge to re-install.
LoL that is easy to defeat mate, just be like me,don't uninstal it.

Ahhh do remember the beginning of this thread, everyone was hyped for some announcement about maybe a vampire thingy, then there was talking and dear old space nugget :). Paradox are really weird, hyping their consumers for a game that may come out 2-3 years later lol. It was really dumb thing to do,most likely more than half the people would have forgotten about the game by the time is released.

Then what's the point of cutting Nosferatu clan and simplifying level design?

Nosferatu might be added post-launch. Not sure what you're referring to about level design.

But anyway we're all going on very old information here. The gameplay footage in the OP is based on a build that's now almost a year old. Who knows how this game will look like by the time they're ready to show it again.

At this point I don't expect the fundamentals, that we have seen already, to be dramatically changed. They are most likely focusing on hunting bugs and making sure the game doesn't break when running.

There is like 9 months till release, that is a lot of time for bug hunting.

In the last development update back in January, they said the plan was to be content-complete by summer. So yeah, I don't think they're just polishing and fixing bugs yet.

Summer in USA starts on the 1st of June and ends on 31th of August, so it sounds about right.

They probably wanted to avoid releasing the game at the same window of time as Cyberpunk 2077 too. I'd even go as far as to say that avoiding CP77 was their primary goal and "content quality assurance" is a convenient pretext for doing just that.

But the release date is set for December 31.

It's March now. Going by their plan they have three more months to keep building the game, and it's likely that there will be further delays due to coronavirus etc.

The fact that there hasn't been a development update since January IMO suggests that the game is in a major transition and might look a bit different when they're done. If not for those silly Vein Pursuit videos this thread would have been completely dead.
