Relic, stop fucking around and get back to Homeworld 3!

IF think you 2 should go back to Game trailers where your insightful talk about games will be appreciated. I mean saying something is bad and then SWEARING how new and interesting.

Seeing video of this game makes me miss playing 40K, the last time I played was at GenCon 2001, I think. Kind of cool because the campaign that attendees were playing affected the overall canon, might've been Armageddon Wars campaign because I remember Commissar Yarrick was on the battlefield.

Enh... I'm not sure if I want this game.

On one hand, it'd be cheaper and more prestigious to play it on my PC. But on the other hand it looks like it really would work better with a controller and my 42" HDTV in the living room.

But XBAWKZ games are kind of expensive and I haven't modded mine. And I'm not sure if I want SPEEZ MAHREEN that badly.

Just look for a Gamefly free trial coupon and snag it that way.

Hook up your PC to your TV with a DVI/HDMI cable.

P. fun game.

Just weird that you need to spam the ranged attack button to overpower a Nob during execution. Why not the damn execute or melee attack buttons?

Yeah that's the exact (and only) 'QTE' I struggled with. Because for like 5 tries I kept mashing 'E' and dying. And then I started single-clicking, not realizing I had to mash the left mouse button.

Fucketh me, it's fun!

Weird you guys got to spam the ranged attack button to execute a Nob. I only had to spam the execute button, but then again it's probably because I use a pad.

It's fun indeed but I get the impression that the game will be p. short, the two demo missons last like 15 minutes. I guess if the game is worth the price will depend on the multiplayer mode...

That's much better. I don't know what went through their head to bind it on the mouse button used to shoot when that's probably the last button anyone will try during a melee struggle.

Also, skipping cutscenes and closing messages with Enter.

The demo has only Orks as enemies so I don't know how the rest of the game will play, but I tend to repeat the 3 strike + stomp combo to quickly get breathing room. Not sure if different enemies and weapons will change that but it kinda gets a bit repetitive. Alterning between melee and shooting is pretty nice though. The jumpack level is a nice change of pace and I hope we'll get more gadgets to alter the game in the same way.

All in all I'm fairly positive but I also know demos tend to show the best parts. I still remember Prey: showed the strong beginning, played around a bit with portals and gravity, and in the end it turned out to be the best part of the game, with the rest being pretty much a standard corridor shooter.

I like but stay cautious.

I think it will get better. Chaos Marines with more varied weapnry + Bloodletters that teleport around + Heretic swarms sounds like a much harder and more fun combo to fight than the Orks. Stormboyz are in, too, I think. And the Tankbustas seem like they'd be annoying if you didn't have a jumppack.

However yeah the game length can be a concern..

Actually you don't

IF you combo in the stun move with your Regular attacks they stuns easier.

10 enemies on screen max, 5 average.

Why even bother setting the game against the Orks if consoles are too shitty to render a proper Waaaagh?

Also Orks hiding behind chest high walls.

How about no.
There are a TON of boys in some sections of this game between 20-30 in the last section easy.
Also the cover ork's are shooter boys, they favor ranged combat and tend not to charge into chainsaw range.

What are you some kind of console kidy that knows nothing about the warhammer 40k universe.
Maybe you can call this a Gears of war CLONE that stole every thing from epic to earn some more KKK.

As much as they want to badly appear badass, the Gears of Wars boys look like pansies next to Space Marines.

I know the stun gets stronger the further you combo it in.

What I was talking about happens after you press E on the stunned Nob, to be able to execute him you need to spam the left mouse button. The ranged attack. In a melee struggle. :P

Well, demo is available now for everybody on Steam and Xbawks. PS3 users (I hate you because I bought the wrong console) get it tomorrow.
