Played it for 3 missions, seems to be fun. I read that they don't plan to wipe accounts?
Not sure if I wanna play without sub though, all that bonus xp and shekels.
How much is a golden eagle worth?
Looks good. Maybe I'll redownload the game.
They also plan to add naval combat don't they? Which brings me to this, did Russia have a navy worth mentioning during WWII?

Nope.
No chance. Russian devs, remember. The USSR navy will be in the game and it will be glorious. Jap ground units can be as under-represented as their air units are now.

Yeah, that's the problem of Eastern European games. Their units are always flawless, great and what else. Just look at World of Tanks or War Thunder earlier days (In Arcade: MiG's are pretty much the best jets, Yak9t used to own everyone and Tupolevs were tankier than B17)
In historical mode, russians are pretty underwhelming tho'. Only MiG's are destroying everything but rest of them is pretty mediocre.
Russian navy was pretty unimpressive during WW II, but they had few things Gaijin will probably implement, like:

and a lot more, so I guess it won't be a problem with filling the tech tree. Japanese ground forces, on the other hand - might have a problem with filling the spots. They will probably implement things like premium german tanks for japanese, but other than that, there ain't much machines to fill the whole tech tree.

Some of the prototypes were used in combat. The lack of heavy tanks is disturbing tho'
Meh, this patch cut my FPS in half.

Have ya tried installing new GPU drivers? Many people had the same problem, and it helped in most cases.
New economy. Advantages and disadvantages of two previous models have been taken into account
1. Prices for buying new planes, modifications, specializations reduced
2. Battle trophies introduced. This is an additional reward that may be received after battle in AB, HB, FRB.
3. Chance of receiving a battle trophy depends on your performance in battle, time spent in the air and number of players in game session.
4. After-battle calculation of damage dealt to a plane is changed, now more parameters are taken into account, thus making calculation significantly more precise.
5. Repair costs for some planes increased. For certain planes repair costs were reduced.
6. Rewards for actions in battle have not been changed, Which means that a plane with 100% reward ratio in new economy will receive the same reward as a plane with 100% reward ratio in old economy. Reward ratio changed for some planes, some increased, some reduced,
Go to options -> controls in the menu, and under the View Control tab you got two unbinded keys "Look down" and "Look back". Both are very helpful.
I'm playing mostly historicals, but had my time with Arcade and if you havent figured it out yet - dont shoot straight into the aiming reticule. Sometimes latency, sometimes just increasing speed of the plane, makes it a total waste. It's better to shoot little in front of that circle as it is marking the plane in the middle of it (so shooting in front of the direction the plane is moving, gives your bullets much more chance to actually hit the plane)
Another one: when you got someone on your tail, don't fly straight, DON'T climb or turn (You can try that if you're in a turn'n'burn fighter) but wooble your plane in random directions, so your enemy aiming reticule will go mad. Most people don't know what to do in such situations, and you can actually survive.
You're in BnZ fighter? Don't try turning. It's pointless, even in arcade. I'll get no deaths and 10 kills with bnz fighter doing proper boom'n'zoom on enemies, instead of getting 5 deaths and 5kills with turn fighting.
Aaaand another one: click, click, click, click while shooting, especially in historical battles. Holding the left button will drain you out of ammo in no time (While most bullets will simply miss)
