They finally added the Sororitas class into the Definitive Edition bundle. Previously it was excluded and sold separately for $7.49
Extremely good deal for $8.99 even if you have Martyr/Prophecy

Isn't this game complete fucking ass

No, in fact it's pretty decent. I played through the campaign + expansion and a good part of the new endgame as well.

I'd say the Campaign is pretty good, the expansion is ass and the endgame is quite fun.

It is a fun game if you like WH40K and you are into Diablo type hack and slashes. Classes feel different and plays like they should. There are even missions that allow you to use a Titan.

This is online only right? I remember thinking about buying it some time ago but giving up because of this. Have the devs talked about including an offline mode?

Someone sent this to me. Apparently one of the devs mentioned they have plans to either make the game offline or keep it alive somehow in the future fwiw.

I wonder if there's gonna be another expansion, there's still a few locked subsectors on the map.

I hope not unless it includes a complete 3.0 overhaul of the game that retouches a lot of the assets and gets rid of a lot of the jank. At this point I'd prefer a sequel.

Regarding Availability and Online Functionality
Addressing long-term availability of Inquisitor - Martyr

Inquisitors,

With our recent sale of
Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr Definitive Edition
many of you wondered whether this might be a sign of imminent delisting or some kind of ceasing of online services. This is absolutely, definitely
not the case.

We believe in preserving our work for future players, so Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr is
not going to be delisted nor become unusable. This is true for all DLCs also. The game was conceived as an online experience and it was presented in an online mode for a reason. However, we'd also like to ensure that everybody can play, so naturally, we have plans to add an offline mode sometime in the near future, with an additional surprise!

In short: Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr
will not be purged from existence. There's one simple reason for this:

The Emperor Protects.

Ok, looks like I am buying the game after all.

I am playing this thing while waiting for Rogue Trader patches. I see nothing in this trailer that would make the game better and it is an average Diablo like. If it was not WK40K based I would have quit it by now.

Seems like this is putting the game in maintenance mode. Hope we get a sequel announcement sometime this year.

Honestly I am no longer able to enjoy Diablo-likes anymore, it just feels like too much pointless clicking on the same stuff all the time. However this being 40K I was able to make myself finish the campaign, so there is that.

Inquisitors!
Prepare yourselves, for our newest update for Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr is coming very soon, namely: offline mode! We have been talking about this for a while, and we are finally very close to release. So, we're here to answer some burning questions:

What is the offline mode update?
Warhammer 40,000: Inquisitor - Martyr currently requires players to be connected online all the time. We are introducing a new game mode for people who prefer to play without having to connect to the internet.

When will this update be released?
May 23, 2024.

Do we need to purchase anything for this game mode?
No, it's a free patch.

How is offline mode being implemented?
Offline mode will be introduced as a separate game mode. You can choose an online and offline mode at the start of the game.

What is online mode in this context?
Online mode refers to the game as it was before this update, so if you don't want anything to change, you can keep playing in this mode with your existing characters and participate in the Seasonal Journey and leaderboards.

What will happen to our current progress and characters? Are the characters transferable between modes?
You can keep playing with your characters in online mode and you keep your progress. However, a transfer between modes will not be possible. Offline characters are handled separately in your new offline account, you must create a new character if you wish to play in offline mode.

How is offline mode different to online mode?
Simply, you don't need to be online to play. In turn, all online features are disabled in this mode, such as seasonal content, multiplayer, leaderboards and social features. Otherwise, you can play through the entire game and its DLC content offline.
If you want to play without having to worry about connectivity, choose offline mode, otherwise, keep playing in online mode to access every online feature as well.

Does this new update indicate that support for Martyr is over?
We're not at the end of the line. In fact, a new Hierophant Class DLC will be released in the near future. You'll assume the role of an Inquisitor who can call in multiple acolytes to form a squad. You'll have to use your faith and authority to inspire your acolytes to carry out the Emperor's will and and teach the Imperium's truth to all the heretics in the Caligari Sector.

Expect to learn more about the future of Martyr later this year! As always:
THE EMPEROR PROTECTS!

Cool, a new class, cool cool...
OFFLINE MODE? I'M GONNA COOOMMM

Why? Game is super boring. Each weapon combination has only 3 skills, most are super similar and almost all characters play similar with only tech priest minion feeling a bit different. Levels are total shit, 75% are samey corridors and few more open ones which do not feel much different.
Missions and quests are kind of cool and atmospheric if you love WH40k, otherwise this is one of the worst Diablo likes I've played. Only good thing is I got it at 80% sale so I do not feel bad about wasting a lot of money.

This game is would be much better without D3 style "everything scales with gear" bs.
