no heavy Flamer for the SoB? That's heresy!

Of course Comrade Guardman its grave Heresy but I also I forgot to add my opinion about acts ad faith... very cool but limited, really what this game needed instead was new campaign and to play as Commissar Inquisitor with raw resource being dread gained from killed enemies and your own men instead, You could blam number of heretics during the campaign after all.
That'd work well with the supression damage system. Could also give that class some Guardsmen minions.

Picked up the Adepta Sororitas class DLC for $11.99 and also grabbed the Complete Collection to get all the remaining DLCs I was missing for another $10.50 off Gamebillet. Complete Collection doesn't include Sororitas class. Yeah I know  Production values for the new class are rather low and the animations are incredibly wonky even for this game but still tons of fun. If you don't have already both games, the complete edition is an absolute steal for the $10.50 I paid.

Not sure which ones are worthwhile and which ones are just cosmetic since I already had Martyr and Prophecy but there's a shit ton of them as you can see below. Anyone have experience with the Complete Edition's DLCs?

Barely any of the small DLCs are worth it. Most are either cosmetics only, or "priority assignments". The latter are very pointless strings of missions, connected by uninteresting choice screens (i.e., of the type "your troops have boarded the shuttle, select where to deploy them", and no, doesn't really effect anything of relevance). They have some unique Tarot cards or similar as rewards, but you don't really need those. Don't buy cosmetics or "priority assignments" for real money (you can get some for in-game currency). Well, unless you want to throw money at the devs, in which case fair enough.

The only somewhat useful DLCs (from a farming perspective only) are Maelstrom of Carnage and City of Suffering. Both are two different flavors of the same: collect "points" by destroying or killing stuff, no "normal" loot. Instead of normal loot, the mission rewards you based on the points you got. Which is relatively generous. Sometimes, these two missions are rather useful for farming seasonal kills/currency as well.

Might be there was a third one that I'm missing... maybe someone else can fill that in.

there's a third 'loot farming' arena based on points, but I think it's part of the base game (or of the big DLC with the Adeptus Mechanicus adept), which was anyway less fun than Maelstrom of Carnage where the battlefield is being bombarded from orbit for maximum carnage.

And the Forgotten Arsenal DLC unlock a special shop, I think one where you get random loot (like you can see what type of item you're buying, but not its stats)

For the priority missions, at least I had some fun playing them, though I'm a sucker for anything that gives some sort of framing to the grind. And the differences choices lead to different missions (even if they are nothing new as you've already seen the map and mission type already), so it was more interesting (to me) than just playing random missions

I agree that some sort of story frame for the missions would be nice, but the priority missions frame is next to non-existent. It's barely a paragraph for each mission.

at least to me, that was enough for quick side missions

The Sororitas class was really fun to play (and her exclusive mechanic), however her voice is WAY too calm for a true Sister of Battle

Maybe she was originally from one of not militant sororitas? Playing campaign with her was fun enough but to be honest I just wanted to throw some zionbux on Devs and got all cosmetics, priority assignments and bridge additions I was interested in from just playing the game and doing one seasonal campaign.

Those games are fun but only if there are some campaign and story to motivate you, for random missions I do prefer my space roguelikes.

This game gets the Official Grunker Stamp of Approval.

Is it great? No.

Is it surprisingly alright? Indeed.

Highlights:
1) Lots of 40K ~*feels*~
2) Good main story (well, at least for the first two thirds)
3) Decent leveling
4) Very sturdy endgame - to my surprise this is my favorite part of the game so far, gearing is very meaty and there are a few cool progression systems

Negatives:
1) TERRIBLE expansion story
2) Very mixed lore-presentation - sometimes it's really great, sometimes it's unfathomably bad
3) There's a cap on how good of an aRPG it can ultimately be since skills are very limited and the progression systems aren't being developed much, so once you get tired of Void Crusades, the game is dead for you

I'm playing a Heat-based psyker with 2x damaging fire auras that stays permanently in Unhinged warp-state.

Gear has recently gotten a massive boost through drops from Void Crusade rewards, and I finally went to the effort of socketing everything and grinding out the Psalm Codes needed - I'm just a single relic-level psalm-code from the last Psalm Code Doctrine I want (hence empty slots in armor):

Passives are specced in Area Effects, Critical Hits, Heat Attacks, Defense and then a few points in Psychic Combat, Psychic Debuffs and Damage over Time to get some key nodes. Remaining points I'm thinking key nodes in Movement and Supports and then a whole lot of points into Debuffs.

Perks are Puritan, Blessing of Saint Victorious and Mind Rift II.

They really need to nerf the Unhinged warp heat passive into the ground.

Honestly? The triangle slow warp is annoying enough that playing anything other than Psyker probably feels better despite Mind Rift II being bonkers. It's never gonna kill you but you get caught in the beams once in a while and it's just annoying in a QoL way.

Turn right after Alpha Centauri
Passive from movement that makes you ignore CC helps with that. I want unhinged warp sate to feel dangerous again, not something you want 100% of your playtime. Hell make it like in Darktide with instant death if you go too hard into it.

Addendum: not to mention buffing. Weapon switching every once in a while to reapply buffs is Zzz. Do other classes do this as well?

instant death if you go too hard into it.

That sounds absolutely ass to play in practice once the novelty wears off

I don't know where the last 8 hours of my life have gone or what I have been doing, but I know that I hate this game because of it and I can't stop playing. Please send plush red pandas.

It's nice to see this game still getting some support. I enjoy firing it up for some cozy burning of heretics once or twice a month. What I wish PoE would steal from this game is the way your most recent character is displayed in all of its glory on the login screen.

Though the slower pace is welcome. I am sick of tired of this sugar rush ADHD monkey shit in these games where every build devolves into 2 button builds, one for mobility and one for AoE screen clear.

I bought this game on sale a couple of years ago, but I'm just getting around to playing it now. I think it took me so long because I played Chaosbane first and I *hated* that game because it just seemed so fast-paced and mindless. The gameplay in Inquisitor is so much better paced and engaging.

Is the game supposed to be super easy, though? I'm playing on whatever the normal difficulty is. I'm level 22 or so, and I've just been steam rolling everything with my dual-wielding psyker.

From what I could tell so far (I haven't learned all the ins and outs of the game) the only difficulty you'll find in this game is when you start doing missions that are 8+ levels above you. Basically when you start getting the modifier "you deal 90%+ less damage". You can get some of that in the campaign, although there isn't really much point to it. A better way to challenge yourself are the Void Crusades. They unlock around lvl50 iirc and if you try to do a complete run, each subsequent mission gets a forced +level modifier, so it gets progressively more difficult, but you get a beefy payout at the end. Be careful though: depending on the colour of the crusade, they can get pretty ridiculous and you might cuck yourself out of it due to too high difficulty.
