Apparently the Lion is returning with 10th edition.
The most 100% TOTALLY LOYAL son of the Emperor returns!Apparently the Lion is returning with 10th edition.
Heh, I wonder now what will the reaction of Roboute and the Imperium will be like. Will the Lion finally get to be Warmaster (a position he always coveted) ? Will he remain the secretive, dour douche we all know and love?I wonder if he looks older because he was actually asleep and not in stasis like Guilliman.
It'd be pretty funny if the Lion ends up murdering most of the Dark Angels, with the few survivors turning to the incredibly smug Fallen to survive.I guess the Lion coming back means we'll know for sure if the DAngels were loyalists or not. As well as ensuring an ending for WH40k where the Imperium wins...
Why not Corax?Any guesses on who's next to return?
My bet is on Jaghatai Khan because people expect Leman Russ or Rogal Dorn.
The boys are back in town!
He is busy in the Warp. Why not Corax?Any guesses on who's next to return?

https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Corvus_Corax#Post-HeresyCorax went on to hunt the traitor Primarchs, seeking revenge for the Drop Site Massacre. At some point he became mutated by the powers of the Warp, turning into a creature made of darkness and shadow itself. Using his new abilities, Corax wreaked havoc on a Word Bearers Daemon World in the Eye of Terror. Far beyond the abilities of average Word Bearers, the Daemon Primarch Lorgar himself appeared before Corax and the two engaged in a vicious duel. Corax managed to dominate the battle, forcing Lorgar to retreat and close the portal he had arrived from. As Lorgar vanished, Corax vowed that he would hunt down and slay the Daemon Primarch.[13]
Right. Corax has a score to settle with that fuck Lorgar. He is busy in the Warp. Why not Corax?Any guesses on who's next to return?

If he couldn't do it in ten thousand years I doubt that he'll be able to do it in the next few.Right. Corax has a score to settle with that fuck Lorgar. He is busy in the Warp. Why not Corax?Any guesses on who's next to return?

There were better choices.Apparently the Lion is returning with 10th edition.
Sir David Attenborough AI does 40k lore:
Nah actually the setting is about every faction basically being legit, existential threat, which actually justifies hardcore Inquisitors, etc. It's more like an absurdist dystopia for lulz.Instead apparently it's just a foil to make Fedoratards feel smart about not following the rules, which just makes the setting seem banal as shit. Tell me i'm wrong.
I think that is also why the Space Marines are so easy to market. Each chapter has its distinct culture, customs and battle tactics. In terms of Space Marine fetish.. That actually comes from the company owners, who are actually dicks that capitalize on IP. Their thought-process is that Space Marines attract the most customers and profit lol.
Always thought the Tyranids would be the winners. They outnumber and assimilate everything, plus they are impervious to Chaos. V3 lore was quite clear they were the most pressing menace for the whole galaxy.Scalding take but I've never gotten the interest of discussing Warhammer lore, especially future events or plot developments, when all the writers tell us repeatedly that the outcome is Chaos murderfucks everybody and that can never possibly be averted.
You know, I thought that the general consensus was that 40k would either go down in flames, like the End Times from Warhammer Fantasy: Age of Sigmar, or all of the major factions of 40k will duke it out in a truly massive battle where ultimately nobody wins, but everyone and everything gets annihilated.Always thought the Tyranids would be the winners. But since they are not SpACe MAriNes they will be second league forever.
Chaos is indeed a good candidate, however it has no grip on tyranids (protected by the hivemind), orks (natural resistance to psy (chaos) powers) and maybe necrons if anybody cares about them. Furthermore, while Chaos influence reaches everywhere, Chaos armies (Marines, renegades and bigger demons) are mostly regrouped in the Eye of Terror or the Maelstrom or such idyllic places when you enjoy living among spikes or pus or wriggling appendages. For most parts of the Emperium, Chaos cults are a real menace but so are Genestealers or the random Waaaaaagh or the good'ol heresy that can be simply "enough of your shit" without input from the usual chaotic suspects. You know, I thought that the general consensus was that 40k would either go down in flames, like the End Times from Warhammer Fantasy: Age of Sigmar, or all of the major factions of 40k will duke it out in a truly massive battle where ultimately nobody wins, but everyone and everything gets annihilated.
Also, Chaos is a major candidate for winner status, since all intelligent life projects thoughts and emotions into the Immaterium and further strengthens the influence of the Chaos Gods.
