There are multiple plots that end up going nowhere or having no real impact on the actual story, which feels odd.
If you name some maybe we can talk about them.
The actual focus of the main story is the Necrons and the C'tan Shard. Why are we fucking around with Chaos cults or Dark Eldar again? What was the point of keeping the Slaanesh cult around other than "lul chaos"? Why look for the scattered Eldar other than to please your traitor xeno waifu?

Sure, during chapter 1, if you take the heretic dialogue when talking to the disciple of Aurora in the electric station, Argenta doesn't even react when she should have used her blaster against you immediately.
That too. Companions are WAY too lenient with that shit.

So, Chaos Path is fixed now?
besides no one reacting to all the crazy chaos shit you do, it worked fine for me.

I played through the whole game on Chaos route when a DLC was released. It works fine.
Thank you for your answers, although I think I'll wait until Owlcat patches it :D Since they give me a choice, I'd like to feel it.

That's not true, the focus of the story is the chaos cults, and I think they wanted the game to end on Euphrates II, where you finally get your confrontation with Vogtvir. The last chapter was added for some reason and feels not really connected.

The scattered eldars, you mean yrliet quest? Or what?

After the mess that was kingmaker i can live with that.
Also, doesn't seem like there is a retarded card game for "kingdom management" here and if it's the case, that's another plus in my book.

If she did blast your character, most of the steamtards would have send negative reviews.
One have to think twice before implementing "hardcore" game mechanism in this day and age...

Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire
So after the first Act I decided that while Warrior is pretty cool, I dislike his reliance on Momentum abilities to do real damage (even though I understand that this will be easier/faster to cumulate as the game progresses).
Also I like the idea of Assassin, but attacking openings would be a bit of a pain with a Warrior's limited mobility (though at least there is Breaktrough with Scissoring Strike now - that could be neat with Orchestrate Flames and Boiling Blood).
Warrior gets good mobility later on and hitting an opening is not really an issue since there is a talent that makes an opening every time your allies crit an enemy in your sight. I don't really think momentum is an issue later too. I used most of the smaller enemy groups, in pretty much every encounter, to build up my momentum and later on in the round use my Warrior's heroic ability to finish up the encounter. I still could use my Warrior to finish up small groups of enemies with one swing, but most of the time I used von Calox to do so 'cuz he could do AoE while buffing the team.

I'm trying to say that there are workarounds to the downsides that you mentioned. If not by the character himself then by someone other in the party.
Thank you for your reply.

Yea, I kinda like the Dancer/Assassin playstyle, but so far the Traumas are kinda punishing on Unfair. And I keep self inflicting them with Blood Oath (!). After a decent first or even partial round, the main char is often stuck due to a leg Trauma halving the Movement and also some Agility and other debuffs. Plus the Injuries and Traumas really kill the Momentum buildup.

Also was critting a lot in Act 1, but not so in early Act 2 so far, which is not great for damage output and buildup of Veil degradation from Veilrender.

Guess Unfair does provide a decent challenge early on.

Plus I guess I need to invest in Talents and buffs that increase Wounds, Toughness, Temp Wounds...
Heinrix has some, now he'll need also Strange Vitality, Invigorate, maybe even Confer Immunity.
Edit: I guess Light of the Emperor needs to shine bright with Confer Immunity!
