Strap Yourselves In Codex Year of the Donut Codex+ Now Streaming!
Its the original 40K PnP RPG released before Rogue Trader. Its much more small scale and players are Inquisitorial acolytes investigating cases.

Codex+ Now Streaming! Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is.
Sounds a bit formulaic with the whole cases thing, but I'm all down for being an Inquisitorial acolyte.
A smaller scale game would also be a breath of fresh air.

Abelard, inform the rabble that this is the best game I have played in almost a decade. Amazing dialogue, worldbuilding, fun gameplay, extensive character configuration.. it has everything.

Well, except challenge. The game is too easy, even on hardest difficulties, especially in late game where you lead a team of demi-gods. New classes added in Void Shadows are beyond broken.

I'm looking forward to the final DLC.
We appreciate it! :salute:
Now Where's the trailer for the second dlc and season part 2 ? SHOW IT.

I do not understand, challenging is super easy but in hard i have enemies oneshotting my full melee hendrix.

Had a autosave just in time for space marine, i love him.
Still commorragh was very subpar.
It could just be bad rng. If enemy gets a critical hit that is usually a lot of extra damage.
On harder difficulties Abelard is far more useful than Hendrix, Kibellah or Mahazai because he can no sell crits. Hendrix's shortcomings as a hybrid paladin really start to show up.

Bro, I never used Heindrix, but all builds you find around with still ridicolous damage (as 1 milion plus in 1 round) are with Hendrix.

Being able to safely take damage is more important at higher difficulties than dealing it. Especially once you hit the final chapter.

Bro being able to kill enemies on the first turn when you act first is more important. That's the root of why most people find the game easy.

Anyway, that was during 1.2 maybe with 1.3 they did something to fix the abuse you (apparently, don't ask him how) could do with him.

Some enemies like the chimera can't be damaged on the first turn of combat. They'll no sell every attack you throw at them.

Bro how many chimeras are in the game, a whole 6? And never alone, always with others around, that you could take care immediatly
(beside is not that they can't be hit in the first turn, they negate one hit and take the next or i misremember)

What was your party like?

In mine case I always got the initiative first and my approach to fights was that the enemy doesn’t get to play the game. Getting hit by a xenos was never part of my dictionary.

I haven't played with Kibellah, but half your other characters shouldn't be getting hit. Abelard and Pasqual should be able to take a hit or two.
Point is why would you measure your characters by how much they can get hit and not but how fast they can kill something?

Like someone else said earlier, criticals on higher difficulties can one shot a party member unless they're set up to tank like Abelard or Pascal. Building a character that can output damage is relatively easy.

Yes, but when you get first initiative with one of your characters at the start of every combat you can just dispatch the highest thread on the battlefield before it attacks.

Chimera can't be killed on turn one. There's that necron enemy that blocks 95% damage if you can't attack from behind. The bunkers in the boss fight against the genestealer magus can't be destroyed with normal attacks.

If you can't kill it, you debuff it. Stack enough debuffs on an enemy and you trivialize it. And you can do that right as the combat starts if you use Cassia as Grand Strategist.

Grand Strategist in particular can make your whole party nigh-impervious to damage by stacking everyone into a zone spec'd out for max defense, and as an added benefit they always get to act first.

My Heindrix was full on stay-in-the-back cleric with a staff.
Never understood why people complained that there are too many feats because this enables a fucking lot of build variety.

im fine with focusing on my character and choosing all the different feats, but then I have to do it on 5+ other characters. After a while I just lose track of what the hell is going on, and im like "fuck it you get +5 xeno lore"
