There's still probably a ton of potential fans out there who don't even know about Kickstarter.

The pledges are slooooowing down. I think Brian needs to show something. Maybe some concept art or the vision document or some music by Mr. Morgan.

I don't think there's a chance for a sudden influx of money, no matter what Fargo does. If people aren't interested in what they've seen so far, then I'm not really sure what could change that. And besides, I wouldn't want Fargo to start pandering to the lower denominator. I guess it'll get to around 2m, not counting the usual ending surge. If that's the amount of cash cRPG fans are willing to throw at W2, then so be it. It's still much more than I expected.
Well, he didnt show anything yet has he?
He just talked about lot of stuff. There isnt a single concept art sketch, let alone anything else.

But regardless... They got 100.000 over their highest wish, so they won even if it all closed down right now.

That's a fair point, but the Dragon Age / Mass Effect audience won't care much for TB isometric. And I don't think concept art can have that much of an influence :p

I was probably wrong with my $2.6m prediction, but I'm still fairly sure it will break $2m in the final push. I also doubt Fargo will eat his words again. He seems to be a pretty quick learner. Speaking of which, does anyone remember how much Double Fine got on its last day? Pretty sure it was at least 500k, but I don't know for sure.

According to the twitter thing that compiled their hourly rate, they made around $450k in the last 24 hours (and about 100k in the last 2).

Doublefine's final day probably got a significant boost from Wasteland 2 starting up at the same time. A lot of new people came to kickstarter to support WL2, and then decided to pledge to Doublefine as well to get their game for cheap.

There will be a spike at the end. I am saving my necessarily modest pledge until close to the end, and I'm sure I'm not the only one. Too bad it came at just the worst time for me or I could give more.

This statement kind of puzzled me. Whether you pledge the jewgold on day 1 or in the very last hour of a kickstarter, it's still not withdrawn from your bank acct. until the kickstarter ends (and meets its goal). Why hold out until the last day?

One reason would be so that you don't have to reduce your pledge if something unexpected comes up or so that you can know for sure you will have the cash available. I donated earlier for WL2, but I'm not a fan of the fact that I have to manually set something up to account for the pledged money. I know if I did many other kickstarters, I'd either set up a separate account for it to take care of that or would wait until the end so I didn't have to track all of them and their end dates - I've seen some others that look interesting, but I'm waiting until they are almost done before donating so the money isn't reserved for multiple weeks.

People are lazy, and will happily put off doing something until the last possible moment.

Don't forget Double Fine had a big live event for the countdown that drew a pretty massive crowd. I wasn't keeping track of how much money they raised during the event, but it was a lot.

Poor Fargo can't do the same thing, since his kickstarter ends in the A.M. on a weekday in the US.

Grab the Codex by the pussy Insert Title Here RPG Wokedex Dead State Divinity: Original Sin Project: Eternity Wasteland 2 Codex USB, 2014 Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 Pathfinder: Kingmaker Pathfinder: Wrath
I think because of couple of factors:
- No ongoing money transactions
- All money pooled into Amazon/Kickstarter Account
- They take 10% (5% for Amazon and 5% for Kickstarter) of the WHOLE pledge amount
