I think the UI is going in the right direction. In fact, I would accept it as it is, if they change the LED counter. As for graphics, it could use a little polish, maybe some a little darker tone, and a little less floaty movement animation. But maybe this is all you can do with the Unity engine in 3D.

Considering the visualization trailers from Satellite reign which were made in unity I highly doubt this is the best you can do...

Wow those graphics are too terrible to take

Hopefully PE and Torment step it up

You are a Graphics whore, just kill yourself.

I wasn't around to back this, but I am pretty sure I will be buying it.

Not really but a man has his limits

Compare that to old PST

Looks like straight up trash

i think you need to explain yourself. right now you are just saying nothing about why it would be so horrible.

Because those 3d models and environments look like baby's first indie game?

I expected something that looked more like BG.

Simon Jodocus Cat Great video all in all, so looking forward to it and happy to have backed it.

Kind of a bitter pill were the first 7 minutes, though, which managed to pull two totally unnecessary gender trope/stereotypes that I would not have expected after what I read about how gender was going to be handled in this game.

So, first you show off a brute force fail by a woman. Totally unncessary, any other male member of the group could have been the one to fail and why not have a strongwoman on the team that makes the men look weak?

Second one was a trope that - especially with all the awareness that one should have thanks to Feminist Frequency lately - I was not expecting. First you tell us about the multitude of options we have in that situation, and then you kill that woman. I see nothing wrong in having that option (and if it fits the characters you play, also a viable one), yet showing off of all things exactly THAT option... that's like a sucker punch to anyone fed up with stereotypes and worn out, harmful tropes that cheats us of positive and fully developed characters of both sexes. And that's clearly not what I gave you my money for. I can only hope that this was unfortunate, but not a taste of things to come in that regard.
HOW CAN YOU DO THIS IN THE POST-SARKEESIAN WORLD

Jesus...

When did nitpicky entitled feminist lunacy even start? I remember a time when people didn't mind about shit like this, but now it's fucking everywhere all of a sudden. Sad world indeed.

I think it really got going around the Penny Arcade 'Dickwolves' comic.

Needless to say, this shit is getting irritating as hell and I'm hoping it'll stop soon.

Crying men upset at the opinion of others.

Comments to get annoyed about:
They missed that robot a whole lot. A whole auto attack at point blank with only misses and a few more misses after that. Even with low skill for the equipped weapon that seems odd.
no one should miss twice in a row with a gun only one tile away from the target.
I'm not sure I like the amount of up close misses I'm seeing
:rage:
The robot gave everyone a -20% to-hit penalty, come on.

On the upside.
I don't know why everyone thinks Mark Morgan is a genius for looping some sound effects and chords for four minutes.
:yeah:
And they're not even his chords, it's freaking Csárdás. :smug:

Can't say I agree with what I seen. Maybe some more imagination could been used, but the quality of models is of an more than acceptable level as far as I am concerned.

Am I the only one who thinks the lastest prison video is actually a step back in ALMOST every way from the previous agricultural video?

A little disappointing... :(

Feminists are most likely coming out of the woodwork because of the popular social mediums (e.g., facebook, youtube, tumblr, etc.,) and feminist gamers using these social mediums in addition to their niche websites. You're fooling yourself if you think a comic broke the camel's back.

Nah Slacker, of course it's not just one thing. It's just that ever since that thing I noticed a massive incline in bitching about inane stuff from crazies on the internet, pretending to be feminists.

Anyway..
Brother None , do you know if there'll be an update about the overworld travel system soon? I'm really interested in knowing about that. Screenshots, at least?

I don't think that's likely, no. I can tell you what it is though; a map with locations and encounters/radio calls, where you have to manage water while traveling. For style, just think Wasteland or Fallout, an overland map with locations.

No vehicles, no, I think that's actually something that came out of an earlier backer poll as something we should not prioritize highly. There's an interesting system of random encounters but we might save that for a future update I suppose. No purely "zany" specials like Fallout, I don't think.

You are not the only one, but the majority thinks otherwise. It's kinda disappointing that there hasn't been an explanation for, say, the change from hexes to squares.
I guess it makes AI programming easier with four way movement vice eight way?

Yeah, probably. @Shinonage speculation in another thread makes a lot of sense, and the issue with the AI too. Let's see what's the final word with respect to this.
