Anybody have the quotes from some of our esteemed members who categorically stated that this would never be funded over... what was it 1.5m, 2m... I can't remember? Inquiring minds want to know! :hmmm:
I only remember the one guy who said that they will surpass Double Fine. I don't remember the name but he said that Tim Schafer and his games are not as well known like Fargo and his games, thus Fargo will collect more money. Fail! Of course this doesn't matter, because they collected a bunch of money, and they will make a kickass game (I hope). This is too good to be true.

There were a few dipshits at the very beginning who were resolute in their belief that the $900,000 goal wouldn't be reached. Dipshits.
Links or it didn't happen. And vots was trolling you guys (very successfully, I might add), in case you still hadn't realized...
I seriously doubt that. Not at the beginning at least. As soon as he realized he's saying garbage maybe.

I had the same impression. Realize you've been stupid : Pretend to be trolling from the start.

Yes! I hope this really sets off a revival of this old genre. This is so great.

Congratulations, inXile/MCA - good luck with your development efforts.

I encouraged Fargo to make everything public budget-wise. Not in the greatest detail, obv, but show how much money is left after KS/Paypal/Amazon take their cuts, show how much is allocated to funding the rewards (which will be a lot, but at least these guys don't have a documentary to pay for) and then outline what'll be done with the rest of the money.

This is precisely what Double Fine have done in regard to their own game - transparency is one of the key themes of their project. Naturally, it'd be commendable if Fargo decided to follow in Schafer's footsteps.

Mod tools are in, yeah!

I have to admit I was worried inXile wouldn't reach the 900k mark...

Yep, I'm really looking forward the private wasteland 2 forum.
I really hope they'll keep us updated with all the major steps.
What private forum? Will they have one just for people who backed the project?

None has been announced yet. But we'll have an update for everyone tonight or tomorrow. inXile's less interested in the concept than DoubleFine, though.

New update:

In the near future, we will open a backer-only store with some great exclusive items that won’t be available to the general public.

...

If you want to stay in the loop in between our Kickstarter updates, head to our blog and forums at http://wasteland.inxile-entertainment.com/. We will be spending a lot of time interacting with all of you there.

No word of a forum, just a store and link to their blog. For now anyways.

I didn't mean that update. We wanted to split talking about community and talking about money stuff.

I don't know exactly what it'll contain since it's still being kicked around the office, but I wouldn't expect an immediate private backers forum. Fargo was pretty tepid on the idea when I brought it up.
