$2933147
pledged of $900,000 goal

Plus Total Pledges through PayPal: $107182.

Total: $3,040,329

I would also check if the number didn't go up in few hours, if there were many pledges near the end, then it could be some lag in registering them all.

Question: Could there have been large "off the record" donations like Double Fine had?

Look at the 30$ pledge

You will receive the digital concept art book, downloadable digital soundtrack, 2 DRM free digital copies of the game (PC or Mac or Linux), exclusive Ranger portrait collection, 4 episode video development blog, Chris Avellone novella, and unique and quirky skill.

They only mention the MCA novella, you don't get the other 2

You don't get "early release" access to Stackpole's novella. According to how it's worded, you might get it eventually.

Last minute upgrade to $30. It's a good deal if you're not interested in the Beta, the only thing you're missing out on from the $55 pledge is the early access to Stackpole's novellas.

What do you mean early access? Will we get them at all? I mean the 30$ pledgers?

I'm not sure. According the wording on the Kickstarter page, yes.

The Stackpole novella will be available before release, yes. Digitally, obviously. And only for $55+ pledgers. The MCA novella, I dunno when it'll be out, but it's from $30 onwards. They won't be available post-release for lower pledgers. At least not legally (they'll leak immediately, obviously).

I wonder how long they'll leave the paypal option up?

It'll be closed some time today, most likely when they get in to work (in 3-4 hours).

I upped my pledge to $500 with less than 2 minutes left . I am a sucker for those darn collectibles and I kept looking at how many signed Collector boxes were sold (1200) to how many Doomday kits were sold (172) and like any spoiled collector I wanted the rarer one!!! :p Now I have to figure out how to tell my wife this?!!!!!!

Ah, I see. I thought "early release" implied that everybody else would get it with the game.

What about the digital map and instruction book?

They've already posted their budget-plan. Sounds good to me:

funds not that'll probably not be transfered 200,000$
kickstarter / amazon 300,000$
Price fullfilment 1,000,000$
Music - $100,000
Attorney fees, CPA - $400,000
Poster art - $200,000
linux - $100,000
Physical goodies - $300,000
Booze, blow and boobs - $400,000

No the early release is probably because it is supposed to contain hints and clues and some people would like to read it before they play the game,I think it was quite clear, you are the only one I saw that thought of that

Not sure what sense that makes, you'd forget everything by the time the game came out.

But whatever. As long as I'm getting that video blog and supporting MCA... :mca:

Plus an extra copy for one of my less :obviously: local bros.

I heard/read that inXile will have a 'store' set up for backers where you can buy extra stuff though. This had better be true as I had to downgrade to the $15 tier...Had to buy a damn telescope for my boy...

I encouraged Fargo to make everything public budget-wise. Not in the greatest detail, obv, but show how much money is left after KS/Paypal/Amazon take their cuts, show how much is allocated to funding the rewards (which will be a lot, but at least these guys don't have a documentary to pay for) and then outline what'll be done with the rest of the money.

Ah, I see. I thought "early release" implied that everybody else would get it with the game.

Nah, they would've made that explicit if that was the case, they just wanted to note it's something you get before the game is out, to warm you up. Personally I wouldn't be shocked or upset if they do end up using it to entice pre-orders or something. It'll leak anyway :p

What about the digital map and instruction book?

Every version comes with the digital map and instruction book, confirmed this with Chris (Keenan) a few days back. Not sure why they didn't make this explicit.

Where the heck did you read this? As far as I know, this is not the case, at all.

Oh great, we already have a DLC store and the game isn't even out yet. :smug:

I've just checked my debit card and $30 I pledged are still on it... so, will they pull the money from it eventually or there's smth gone wrong??? :?

Check the kickstarter page. there should be an "action needed" message somewhere if your payment didn't go through and a small window in which you can fix whatever went wrong. At least that's what Tim Schfer said in his video after DF Adventure finished.

Give them a moment, too. It's a lot of payment to progress :P

If the credit card bounces, Kickstarter will mail you and repeat mail every 48 hours, and you have 7 days to fix the problem. It'll pop up as "action needed", yes.
