You are fucked if you play in coop with someone who grinds the shit 24h/day while you can't even do half of that. He will do all the quests and HQ will call you a lazy fuck for not doing any rangers work.
Or getting a hacker.

that multiplayer thing is so stupid

Could well be - as it will be optional: who cares?
People who care about the game should care, since it's gonna be probably the most costly thing to implement as it affects everything in the game.

Not the way it is described in the first peek. Of course that can still change on the long road to 2019 or whenever this hits the shelves.
You seem real stupid. Sorry but we can only have one dildolos.
That he barely posted anything before and then, all of a sudden, became so very active at this very moment, in this thread, is extremely telling.

Do treat him as any other regular member with no ulterior motives.

Please.

I loved the first Wasteland in the 80ties and I like second. So why would I not be exited about Wasteland 3. Most games today don't hit my taste.

@ Pics: Seems to have crossbows - nice.

When I were a toddler way back in age o sail I were taken over to Shaun Richardsons house, his mam an mine had decided we were gonna be friends cos they were, only snag were me an Shaun dint get on, dint wanna play together, an resented being locked in same room while us mothers pushed an prodded us to play an have fun. Finally I punched Shaun in nose an we got into a right scrap. Dragged out kickin an screamin, wi me mam effin an blindin about what a little bastard I were.

For some reason this obsession that devs have got wi makin you play multiplayer seems same as me mams, I play to fuckin get away from people not to fuckin socialise like a friendly cunt. Take your multiplayer an shove it up your arse.

The Stasis devs are involved, so the graphical quality is likely to noticeably improve from WL2.
It's also likely to be noticeably lower detail and blurrier than those nice photoshopped static renderers.

Granted, looking better than Wasteofmoney 2 is something we can take for granted.

I've sworn off crowd funding myself, but good luck to them. Might turn out to be a good game. Assuming the heavy focus on multiplayer interaction doesn't fuck up the narrative.

Those screenshots are beautiful. Based Stasis artists, looks like InXile did a great job in translating their art to 3D.
This all sounds fantastic so far, and yet Codex is being Codex. Whining about co op when, you know, when RPGs starter as a social, multiple player experiences (you ever heard of p&p?) and that is how they are best played. Maybe you should get some friends and work on your social skills so that you have someone you can play your games with...

inXile already has experience designing the co-op in Hunted: The Demon's Forge. I wonder if WL3 is going to use the same netcode.

Hunted was a really underrated game, it would be interesting to see its ideas implemented in Wasteland 2.

Hmm. Wonder what this thing ends up as. Trash or treasure. I'm not really keen on the "Fallout 4 like dialog", zoom-in cutscenes or the multiplayer shit. So that's already three big things advertised as "improvements" that aren't contributing to anything positive for me.

Fallout 4 dialog... only this time with actually good writing. I see nothing wrong with that.

I'm not thinking about the netcode. If their primary emphasis is cooperative reactivity, I suspect the single-player narrative will be a bit thin.

I really look forward to Fargo listing the lessons they've taken from Fallout 4 over the coming months. Hopefully it'll be in the pitch video.
This will be like a fusion of Fallout 4 and Hunted with some delicious old school masterrace goodness. Can't wait to hear more either.
