It's a false flag operation. First they encourage racism, then they'd be like "oh the codex has become too racist, let's split it into two sites".
The majority of the staff on this site are either right-wing or at least pro-free speech.
I like how pro free speech is equivalent to right wing in 2021.

I was looking for my sheeeeeeiiiit button which looks splendid by the way and something I was hoping to use almost constantly but I don't have it...instead I find I have a gay purple vampire and what appears to be a haddock !

Math seems pretty useless, fishy could be useful but seems a tad too big. Sheeeeeit is probably a bit narrow but I am sure the Codex will find a way to put it to good use.

Would love a FAT button, though. The elephant is a bit too indirect for some use-cases

Same here, can't see the button. This is blatant discrimination and, dare I say it, bigotry.

Where is the "you're a ghetto brotha from another motha" button?

It would be very free speech of you to give us a "gas the jews" button btw.

I don't support adding the "sheeeeeeeeeiiiit" button. Racism is better when it occurs organically, not when the staff are officially encouraging it.
It is lame. I've always admired the Codex's stance on "anything goes" moderation, but this shows a heavy bias. Like, you walk in the door and it's "Here's your white hood and your cross burning kit, you don't have to wear it if you don't want to, that's free speech!"

Consider the difference between "Codex has many racist users" and "Codex is a racist site". All those people you think are dumb for saying it's a racist site? They were just proved right.

Agree. Already too many shitposters from GD are spamming RPG discussion threads, making finding valuable posts more difficult with each passing day. Why encourage such behaviors? I signed up for RPG Codex, not GD Codex. We don't need more shitposters immigrating to Codex. We already have some users that are Bethesdatards and think Fallout 4 is good. Do you want more to come here? I came here exactly to run away from people who thinks Skyrim is a pinnacle of RPG design. And those are people this new button will bring.

So, yeah I think that button should be removed.

Sheeeit: Feels very tacky and out of place.
More than that, it feels mean-spirited. Mean-spirited and directed at people from a certain part of the world. I actually like being exposed to all the good and bad speech on this site because in my day to day I am in a cultural bubble, and in a lot of ways the voices on this site remind me of my roots growing up in a small rural setting where people debated cultural issues constantly. That’s a healthy debate that I unfortunately don’t get often IRL any longer.

The new button is not good, and actually makes me a bit ashamed to browse the site. And the solution isn’t to add equivalents for all ethnotypes.

Mean-spirited and out of place for the codex is my verdict.

ps fish and math suck too but most buttons do so it’s just more of the same.
