1. The second fight in the game, I think, against two thugs. I found out that the pistol is crap. Threw a bindlebag the next time, it got the job done.
2. Rictus. This fight was only hard because I had such a shitty party, Democratus being the only one that was capable of doing any actual damage while Sly and Bowman were pretty much completely useless. I probably would've won this battle on the first try, but I accidentally used my last Timeminder Tear on Sly instead of Democratus, who would've needed only two or three attacks to finish the fight. Well, he... it... died and I was left with the two other clowns with their patheticly weak weapons. Oh well.
3. Some random fight right before Rictus. After dying to Rictus I reloaded my previous save and went into this with my brain shut off. Didn't work that well.
4. The wimpa. The large wimpa has an attack which takes away more than half of your health, no save. Time your attack wrong and he'll be able to attack you two times in a row. Do the math. Died twice here.
5. The Sagen Kra. I discovered that the nasty ones have attacks that cause serious damage to your whole party, and if they all get an attack at the same time, they'll bring your party from full health to TPK instantly. The fight was easy one I knew this.
6. The last Detta fight. Died twice here, fortunately no more than that. This was the first time when the game's combat system kind of started to piss me off. Thank god I found the fast-forward button, because otherwise I'd still be playing this. This fight just felt agonizingly long, starting with a lengthy cutscene, continuing with a pretty easy fight, another cutscene and then a second fight. The first couple of stages were really easy since Detta couldn't deal that much damage at once, but then he started to use some heavier MysTech with like 30-second animations. Like in the wimpa fight, if the enemy gets two attacks in a row, it's bye bye, except that this fight is much, much longer and you have to time the actions of two characters. Basically I just spammed healing items and tried to micromanage my actions so that I'd always get the next action after Detta's turn, waiting for Sly's Cap skill to recharge. One mistake and you got to do it all over again.
7. The final fight against whaddafuk, died twice. Not a hard fight but an annoying one. The combat system just doesn't work that well when fighting multiple opponents, because then it just gets so damn slow and you feel like you have no control over what's happening when the camera's just flying all over the place. I fast-forwarded a lot in this fight, which resulted in some bad timing: both deaths were a result of the enemies getting like twenty attacks in a row before I could do anything, one of those attacks being the "fuck you" attack by the big bad himself that causes 1500 damage to everyone. For an end boss this was still remarkably easy once you figure out what you have to do.
And this was on the hardest difficulty. It's probably one of the easiest if not the easiest "RPG" I've ever played, but I think it might've been harder had I not found certain pieces of equipment. For example, Sly Boots was the most useless character in my party for a long time until he found a gun from the most random place in the universe. That instant he turned totally awesome, and a couple of special attacks later he was pretty much completely overpowered. This applies to many of the other characters as well: a new weapon or ability makes or breaks them, and this stuff almost always lies in completely random places. There wasn't a lot of interesting stuff to buy either, so you could spend all of your money on healing items and end up with a practically endless cache of them.
I didn't use the elementor all, never felt a need for it. Should I have? For a seemingly very important thing it sure was easy to forget about quickly.
