What game are you wasting time on?

Bought and finished Metro: Last Light in a few hours on 'Ranger' mode. Game is piss easy compared to the first, and the only thing it has going for it is the nice visiuals.

2033 isn't a contender for best game ever, but it is a ton better than Last Light.

Playing Pirates of the Caribbean with the New Horizons mod. Trying to finish the main campaign. The mod allows now more customization than ever and combat and progression has now good balancing. Unfortunately the latest build introduced a new eventdriven economy system which is great but broken at the moment making trading and smuggling not viable.

I played the banner saga.

More like incomplete saga lolol.
Also let the boss kill mah spawn, because the father was just much more useful (that prey ability blew her abilities out of the water, not to mention he could melee attack too).

Tropico 5 sandbox on high/high. Things were ok, managed to keep money in the green, support over 50% and rebels in check, and then some massive uprising happened :/ Probably Nationalists faction. Had to reload and write some reactionary nonsense in constitution and gave some money to their leader to keep them happy.

So, if you were wondering, factions are still in game, and they matter.

Also, getting 1mil treasury objective is harder than it seems, because ~30% of treasury is lost on "corruption". So, you have to make 400k per year to get to 1mil treasury.
Game says that corruption percentage is dependent on constitution options, but I could not figure which options lowers corruption. I changed constitution to what seems most "democratic", and just got 28% instead of 30%. And nationalists hate me again :/

I am playing Legend: Hand of God, because i play any game that lets me make a dual class character.
I made a Villain(rouge)-Magic combination and most of the time i one shot weaker enemies with fireball and then buff up with fire shield and fire weapon to cut down anything that comes into melee. The problem is melee combat is terrible, enemies can dodge alot and damage is to weak compared with magic skills, also both the enemies and your character keep jumping around so it looks pretty stupid(when attacking a giant my guy jumpes into the air and makes a figure skating flip while hitting him with weapons).
The game has a couple bugs: it can freeze up for 2 seconds, equipment (helmets, second weapon) i wear keep moving through or away from my character while walking, and it crashed a couple times(mostly when buying something from a merchant). Also changing primary and secondary weapons can make your weapons disappear.
Its a decent Diablo clone with some nice ideas and some broken basic elements.

Heard A Kiss To Build a Dream On in a restaurant and realized its probably been 7 years since I replayed Fallout 2. So I basically did everything on the mainland and decided to kill the Huboligists (gigantic mistake saved after killing most of the occupants) go to leave game crashes...that's okay, reload my save game crashes, rinse repeat, reload try holding A to enter combat works round ends and combat finishes crash. Check last save in alternate slot which is before navarro, the military base, and San Francisco + lots of shopping to get PAs.
:x Think I'll just uninstall, oil rig is kind of shitty anyways + I've got Xenonauts primed to play that won't be as crash prone.:troll:

Always sometimes monsters. Looks good but I'm not really in the mood for it at the moment.

Paper sorcerer mainly. Just finished Dark Souls 2 as well.

Just finished converting all the 35 Infocom games to the Treaty of Babel. It took a few minutes, except for the 7 that use graphics or sound because the utilty to merge the blorb files (bmerge) doesn't work with x64 versions of Windows. I hoped that it would work under DOSBox but no, it is a 16-bit Windows executable, which can be quite problematic in this day and age. I had to resort to install VMWare and download a CD of WinXP, install Perl, run the script and transfer files back and forth. I could have left these out and save myself some trouble but 1) I'm a perfectionist and 2) the main reason to do this was fuse each IF file with its respective graphics and sounds into one single blorb archive, and those 7 benefited the most from it since now I only need to worry about moving one single file.

So there, all 35 Infocom interactive fictions in zblorb. Games now have a nice information cover when started, including bits of information if it is a special version like one of the five Solid Gold releases, and all additional files are contained in the same file.

Besides RO2 (which is fucking ETERNALLY currently playing), I finally (!) got the entire Arma 2 collection just to play the 2 or 3 Russian side custom campaigns.
Why? Cuz fuck you that's why.

Yeah, it's not intrusive if you've actually purchased the game. If you haven't though...your aim starts getting worse and worse as you play, and you still don't know why until you go to wiki and read about their DRM...a friend told me all this

Heheh. I remember the original Operation Flashpoint: CWC had a similar DRM, where the game would get progressively laggier and buggier until it was unplayable.
Guess it's a Bohemia Interactive thing. :)

Lulls in playing Xenonauts are filled with Broforce. Awesome game, hysterical multiplayer... but all the explosions make my eyes bleed.

Try throwing a grenade that gibs 20+ mooks at once, some of the user-made levels think it's a cool idea, but it makes your system cry every time.

Saw Freespace 1 and 2 appear on steam. Brought back a lot of good gaming memories so I immediately installed the awesome Freespace 2 Source Code Project and am currently fucking around with a fully ported Freespace 1 in the Freespace 2 engine. It's as good as I remember. Fuck you Gaben.

I have now finished Neverwinter Nights, Shadows of Undrentide and Hordes of the Underdark. HotU was better than NWN+SoU combined, although it still suffered from retarded difficulty spikes, hp bloat, endless trash mobs, labyrinthine level design, needless complication... It was also way too long for it's own good. Anyway, I enjoyed my time with the games. Mostly. The sound design was so horrible throughout that I mostly just blasted some of my own music on top of them.

Now to play A Dance with Rogues... :smug:
