Some piece of info to x360 Live users, from tomorrow Dark Souls will be free to download till june 16 I think. For those 3 people that dont have it yet.

On topic, I bought a guitar and Rocksmith 2014 this week. Never touched a instrument before. Its fun, I can do well on some minigames but I suck at playing, I can barely keep track of fret numbers and fucking game is throwing in chords, tremelos etc. Think I need to derp like atleast 100 more hours till I get the basics done. I can play one chord from the tutorial. Ask me in 2 months how Im doing lol. Gotta say Im amazed how well its recognizes what Im doing, every thing I do on the guitar. If I keep at it, it will be worth the money I spent on the guitar, cause that thing wasnt cheap.

Finished Splinter Cell: Blacklist a while back. Very good stealth game actually, underrated. Lack of quicksave is most annoying part.

Tried to play Sniper Elite V2 but didn't like it. A little too linear and the stealth elements suck.

Started the original Gothic for the first time. Seems a bit too much like their other games so far, so not feeling a ton of motivation. I'll keep trying though.

Randomly played some Mass Effect 2 missions today. Such popamole, much headshots.

Been playing through the IE/DnD games. Finished BG a week ago and started BGII with that character. As many have confessed before on this forum, nostalgia for BG is shattered when playing through it once again later in life. Durlag's Tower, sans the chess game, was incredibly fun. Well put together themes (four warders, four elementals, four stone golems) that helped uncover the demise of Durlag and his people. The demon knight is really jarring because he doesn't really fit into the thematic structure even if he is a servant of Aec'letec. Why couldn't we get more things like Durlag's Tower in the original game? No one likes to slog through those mines. The game is only good for it's pretty backgrounds, Durlag's Tower, and a few encounters here and there. After BGII I'll move on to Icewind Dale I and II then to finish with a bang, Planescape: Torment for the 3rd time.

Sven has been making the perfect relationship game with D:OS. IIRC, he said that he wanted a game to play with his girlfriend(s) and that is why this game came into existence. I'm long distance at the moment (visiting parents before I go back to the conservatoire) so we have been playing over skype. The game really does well to integrate another player. I've never liked multiplayer games (one of the reasons RPGs are so attractive) but this game does really well to create a lively dynamic between players. Well, if they cut out the rock, paper, scissors nonsense.

Finished Shadowrun Returns for the first time. Although it didn't blow my head off, I enjoyed it, liked the soundtrack and the visual style. A RPG mechanics were a bit too simplistic, but were OK for the first try. I heared that the sequel, Dragonfall is even better, so I'm looking forward to playing it.
Yup, bro, it is really better, so if you enjoyed the DMS you certainly will love Dragonfall.
After getting absolutely ripped off from backing the game early, I will not buy the "dlc". I was under the impression that backing early got you access to the dlc but apparently not.

I've been playing borderlands 2 mostly lately.

Blasphemy. BG, like any infinity engine games is just as fun for the n-th time, as for the first.

While I agree with you, I can also see how others may not enjoy how slow and large the world of BG is. I enjoy the grand feel of adventure that comes with it, but to each to their own.

I've been wasting time mostly on Football Manager2014, and I should finish my first season soon.

I didn't back it but everything I read said the DLC was free for backers. Might want to email the devs.

That's what I thought but I contacted support asking about my key and they told me that I just got the main campaign and the soundtrack. Maybe I'll try again some time.

A strange girl walks into the nightclub - slender, wearing a faded schoolgirl costume. Her black hair is kept in a ponytail, and her eerie gray eyes dart around examining... her prey. She approaches one of the party girls like a wolf in schoolgirl disguise - the girl seemed to be a bit bored, staring at the dance floor. "Is this place always dead?" - the redhead girl asks. "Death is only the beggining." - the pale girl replies, her sultry, dark lips in a smile. It seems that she has... sharp canines... or is it just the nightclub lightning?

- "Hey, that's so..like, poetic, are you some sort of bar-room philosopher... or is that your idea of girl talk?"

- "My idea of girl talk is my lips on your neck, sweetness." - the pale lady replies, approaching seductively - her mysterious gray eyes locked onto hers.

-"I don't know... i-i'm not usually into girls..." - she says with a fake innocence.

- "Oh, but i'm so into You."

- "... wanna play with my dollies?" - the redhead says, smirking. "Dollies like to be squeezed!" - she replies after a girlish giggle, one last moment before she kisses passionately the curvy party girl's neck, and then sinks her fangs into her soft skin, moaning slightly while draining her crimson nectar. Hmphh... but not too much. Just enough for her fix. The redhead is left a bit dizzy, in a trance of ecstasy... And the vampire leaves, wiping the red sweetness from her lips and disappearing amidst the nightclub crowd.

Playing VtM:B as a female Malk. Have i mentioned that i fucking love this game?

I wasted money and time on Among the Sleep. The demo convinced me to buy it, because the atmosphere was perfect. The art style, full-body awareness, and sound design stayed true to their promise, but the game's extremely simple and unthreatening. After the introductory level, which was shown in the demo, it turns into a matter of searching for collectible items to get to the next level. In its favor, the game at least has the decency to have beautifully crafted environments, instead of the now typical modular, randomized shit that lacks creative flair. About halfway through, it introduces the monster, which will hunt you down for all of half a second before giving up, if it actually manages to spot you. It normally appears for bursts of a few seconds, and when it shows up for longer than that, its pathfinding is noticeably terrible. There are tons of little cubbies in the walls and spaces underneath furniture where you can hide, but even when it sees you hide in those spots, it won't search for you at all. The moment you are slightly out of reach, it just walks away.

Also, it's two hours long. What a waste of a brilliant setting and art style.

Spent $5.99 to unlock additional quick-bars and character slots in SWTOR.
Dozens of hours played so far.
Guess I'm saving a lot of money in the long run by not buying any new games.

I'm afraid that if I kill important characters they will no longer loosen their bowels after spewing gaiderisms from their mouth. It just wouldn't be the same experience.

Played the first four Blackwell games in a week. Completely engrossing. Now I'll have to wait for Epiphany to get a proper sale, being the poor bastard I am.

Finished Resident Evil 4 - main game plus both Ada's scenarios.

Pros:

- the game is long
- difficulty is mostly fair, except retarded things like QTEs and enemies who can one-shot you (see below)
- ???

Cons:

- The game shares close to nothing with it's predecessors: claustrophobic atmosphere of RE1-3 is missing, gameplay is totally different (shooter instead of action+adventure hybrid), story is badly stitched to original lore,
- Basic gameplay (shooting) is not so good due to irritating POV (character occupying most of the screen), slow aiming, lack of strife and frequent "shooting gallery" moments (you can't or shouldn't move),
- Slow aiming / reduced POV often lead to "stupid" deaths: being blown up by dynamite-throwing enemy who's outside of your POV, killing Ashley either directly or due to losing sight of her, etc. After some time I started relying more on the sounds enemies make, instead of my ingame sight. Not sure if incline. Dying due to sucking at the game is ok. But because of shitty gameplay elements - no.
- QTEs are (as always) the single most irritating part of the game: they are abundant, mean constant death, add nothing to the gameplay (press buttan to avoid game over), prevent you from enjoying FMVs. They were responsible for 90% of my deaths during the game. Fuck QTEs.
- Performance of the PC port is shitty even on current gig: 30 FPS cap + occasional stuttering
- The plot was never a strong point of this series, but in RE4 it reaches the new low. Constant exchanges between Leon and MWAHAHAHA villains via COM are esp. irritating.
- Writing is simply abysmal - I've seen B movies with much better writing.
- The game is extremely linear. Except some areas, it's just a long corridor between insertion point and extraction point. Get the fuck out with this shit, devfags.
- The map has the entire location revealed from the beginning of the mission - reduces tension greatly and is a 100% decline when compared to previous games (you had to look for ingame maps).
- Bonus scenarios are actually better than the main game: less QTEs, more gameplay, less retarded story, etc.

tl;dr

:2/5:

Rest in piss, Resident Evil. It's funny that people complain about RE5/6 being decline (after wonderful RE4), when all the shitty elements are just there. AFAIK RE5 simply added nigger enemies, AI-controlled companion who can shoot (which broke the game due to abysmal AI) and even moar shooting. And RE6 added even moar QTEs and multiple playable characters / scenarios. Isn't that what you wanted, RE4 lovers?

:smug:

RE4's shitness convinced me to skip RE5 and RE6 entirely - I'm going to try RE - Revelations and after that I'm done with the series 4 eva.
Sad thing is, I completed RE2 last year and it was as good as ever. Glory to the oldshit.

I can't even imagine having so much patience and free time as to finish a long game that I would rate a 2 out of 5. Like... why keep playing?

Haven't played a game for about a month.
Weather's been too good, and I've been busy MILF hunting:

Not really, I just wanted to finish it since I really liked the series in the past.
And you should feel bad for liking this trash, Andy.

Enjoy the Revolution! Another revolution around the sun that is. Shadorwun: Hong Kong Divinity: Original Sin 2 Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire Pathfinder: Wrath I'm very into cock and ball torture I helped put crap in Monomyth
Playing Blackguards again. I gave up on my first try. This time, I'm rolling with the hero and dwarf as tanks with axe/mace training and Zurbaran has the fireball spell, some healing and buffs plus bow weapon focus. Things are much more manageable this time around. Knowing what you are doing actually helps. I'm afraid that I may run into the same issue I did the last time I fought the lice queen, the healer being bugged. At least this time I have enough points spent in the healing spell for it to remove wounds.

I'm also playing gungnir on the PSP. The combat took me some time to get used to but I think I'm doing okay now. The graphics and music are really nice.

On PS3, I started kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. I had previously started this on PC but deleted the game due to me being too lazy to start Origin. Sometimes you just feel like running around smacking stuff in the head. The PS3 version and the PC version are like night and day when it comes to textures, but it was expected. Going to focus on chakrams and faeblades.
