Anyway: Just play it. Preferably 1404 (+Venice), alternatively 1602. Don't play 1701 or 1503, they are pretty bad.

What makes them bad? They are the only 2 I have played and they are fucking awesome.

Sigh, I miss the days when NoA actually released quirky original quality games in the US...

My first run through ToEE.

My god this game is glorious. Why didn't I try it before?

Went back to New Vegas. Created a Sneak+Melee+Survival guy. Finished Honest Hearts and I'm having a blast. The new recipes and perks are nice and I'm discovering a lot of stuff in the main game I missed on my 1st playthrough. E.g. the Caesar lecturing me on the Hegelian dialectics :D

I'm playing through Dawn of War 2 single player. Easy and repetitive as fuck, but I don't know. It's kinda...relaxing.

Started playing Age of Pirates 2 again. It's not a great game, but I have a hard-on for the Age of Sail, so there's something about cruising around in a Frigate, blasting the enemies of his majesty.... Boner for me.

Replaying New Vegas with the DLC... Dead Money was a good idea badly done, Honest Hearts has poor quest design so far.

FEAR 3 and a replay of Crysis 2 are my shooters right now. They're both pretty average but better than a lot of other crap out there. Why FEAR 3 forces the co-op point system on you when you play solo is beyond me.

Got the Dragon Age 2 DLC (yeah, yeah... fuck you too) but haven't started it yet. I like the combat in that game on hard, even if the rest of it is shitty.

Finished Assman's Creed: Bumfacehood. Couldn't stop playing it, but it left a sickly and indefinably greasy feeling in my stomach that I think might remain for a while. Burned out on the new shit, time for Wizardry 8.

Started replaying Jagged Alliance 2 (with 1.13 mod) and noticed none of the ALT key combinations are working in-game. That goes for ALT-R, ALT-S, ALT-L, ALT-C, etc. (it should be noted that ALT-[letter] works outside of the game in other programs, so it's not a problem with the keyboard).

Any ideas?

I'm addicted to Clear Sky + The Faction War mod. Larping a stalker who is just trying to earn some money while doing some missions with an npc stalker who follows me around like a pack mule. The graphics and effects are amazing. Getting stuck in the middle of nowhere with an emission coming your way is a truly frightening experience. Shit, even a storm is a frightening experience. It's that good.

Yeah, it's really great. I was playing it for ages not long ago. I went through my first playthrough of TFW with Clear Sky (because they had the best armors in the game). The CS-4 Experimental Suits rival Exoskeletons, but you can run with them. They cost 100000s of RU to fully upgrade though.

Then I tried Loner and it's basically poorfag mode. Very low sources of income compared to being with a faction, but at least you don't have to worry about your crap being attacked all the time. Gives the game a great feel.

What I think it needs though is the option to play as Monolith or Military, and open up Limansk, Limansk Hospital and the CNPP for faction warring. Maybe even areas of SoC (Bar, East Red Forest, Pripyat), though unlikely.

No idea, ALT-S and ALT-L are working without a problem on me. Not sure what are ALT-R and ALT-C supposed to do because they do nothing I can see in my game.

Btw, I read in some description of the newest 1.13 patch that it is possible to enter a building through a window now, by pressing "j" but I can't do that. Anybody got any luck with that?

You're right, I meant ALT-F (screen centering) and ALT-Z (all stealth) which aren't doing shit. Don't know why I mixed those up though...

Can you point me to the mod? There are a few faction war mods out there so I don't know if I have the right one. Just finished Clear Sky for the first time, so I'm interested in trying out a few mods.

Played Sengoku for the tcancer preview. Glad I got that over with. Preview copies with barely functional AI and shitloads of bugs do not a fun gaming experience make. Have Bioshock on my HD and wanted to finally do a full playthrough of the game. Somehow I just can't muster the enthousiasm to actually finish it though. Dirt 3 is still groovy and so is Shogun 2.

Did play the From Dust trial on xbox. I can see why some people like it and some don't. As a sandbox to play around however it is brilliant. Felt like a little kid who played with sand and mud and water. If I'm right however the devs didn't include a full sandbox mode to play around in, which is a damn shame and is why I won't be buying this. Will 'demo' it for pc though.

Apart from replaying Frederik Pohl's Gateway and Sentinel Worlds, I'm wasting my time on Chantelise, which has just been released on Steam.

It's relaxing and fun! And for $9, it's a treat. Consider grabbing it if you enjoy light-hearted action-adventure/RPGs.
