Until your account has "passed" your posts will only be visible to yourself (and moderators) until they are approved. Give us a week to get around to approving / deleting / ignoring your mundane opinion on crap before hassling us about it. Once you have passed the moderation period (think of it as a test), you will be able to post normally, just like all the other retards.

There is no user #1, in the olden days #1 was the setup admin account only used in the initial creation of the forums and consequently deleted once the process was complete. User #2 on any old forum is usually the effective #1, the one who set it all up. In this case, Calis, the one-time code monkey of the Codex.

Don't believe his lies. That is what They want us to believe!

The One is still out there!

Who created the RPGCodex?

The RPG Codex was founded in 2002 by a group of Black Isle Studios and Troika Games fans who had formerly been active on forums such as No Mutants Allowed, Duck And Cover and Terra Arcanum. Chief among them was Saint_Proverbius (PBUH) who still logs in every couple of years.

If you've ever wondered why the Codex seems to have a particular obsession with Obsidian Entertainment, this is why. Following that group of developers is part of this website's DNA.

I dunno if they're still around or changed nicknames but I also remember Calis, Deathy, Ibbz...

Vault Dweller, founder of Iron Tower Studio and creator of RPGs such as The Age of Decadence, Dungeon Rats and the upcoming Colony Ship, was once an RPG Codex administrator. He was not one of the site's founders, however - he only joined in 2003.

His role on the site was much the same as mine, the head news and content posting guy. But in 2007 he got into a fight with the other admins about moderation policy and was forced out. It was quite dramatic, but most people agree that in the end it was all for the best.
History is written by the victors. In an alternate timeline we'd be praising VD's glorious victory.

I'm surprised this place lasted as long, considering DU stopped giving a fuck about gayming few years after the forum creation

She has far too successful a career
What would that be?
She's a manager, and for quite a few people too. Her work has her living in both Germany and Russia though she's native to neither (hence my belief about her ethnicity; affluent/upwardly-mobile migrants typically aren't other native Europeans in my observation).

I actually noticed you mentioned someone's skin color on more than one occasion.
Are you by any chance an African American? I'm asking out of curiosity.
No, though apparently I am 7% African on account of my maternal grandfather and his ancestors (not American though as far as I know).

Hitman 2 is an RPG because you play the role of a hitman and you have choice and consequence. :obviously:

Also the Codex was founded by Deathy, Calis, Saint_Proverbius, Ibbz and a few others after an IRC chat session where basically everyone wanted to whinge about RPGs but NMA was Fallout only, Terra-Arcanum was Troika only and the only other option were the Interplay forums where everyone would get banned / threads locked. Calis used his TA code to create it and there you go. As I was an admin of TA at the time I also got in early, but wasn't in a true admin role until later.

It's Roguey

Most people can't stop revealing little pieces of information about themselves from time to time, in shoutbox, the forum, or somewhere out there on the net, a focused people watcher like Roguey just collects it
