Since when did J_C and Infinitron become honorary members of the Polish Defence Squad? Apparently no-one is allowed to say anything bad about Twitcher 3 without you two swinging in, white knighting poor CDPR. Web is filled with forums where only allowed opinions are HYPE HYPE HYPE and "mature reasonable discussion whether this upcoming product is perfect or merely very good" - why the need to turn Codex into one of them?

They could do so much with a game that stated off with a new Witcher. Or even some ho-hum regular human mercenary or knight. Or even a sorceress or wizard or something. Lots of possibilities in this world.

I haven't played any Twitchers, so couldn't really care less but how-about reverse-gender Sengoku Rance? Triss fucking and sorceressing her way into becoming Goddess-Empress of whatevershittynamethhisworldhas.

My opinion of the Witcher games is: well written popamole games with tits and grimdark. I find myself confused when people are disappointed by them for not being something they've never pretended to be.

Fair enough and I really don't care about TW at all - it's just strange that posters who think that they are mediocre and/or crap get shot down so quickly. Especially if the complaint is that the games were worse than the books, writing wise and your reply is that "no-one gives a shit about potato book" and "it could have been worse".

And J_C is fanboying like mad.

There are many problems with The Witcher 2. Graphics/lighting/perspective are pretty low on the list.

I am too, in favor of TW1 graphic and art style over TW2. Sadly, the newest chapter looks more like the second one.
Still those assets of the latter did not put me off. As for story, I am ok with TW2. If they don't fuck up the open world gimmick (aka if they don't follow Elder Scrolls shitiness) I will be happy. I read all books btw, so there is that which makes me biased in the lore department. Not that Sapkowski's saga is the best thing in the world, but it is nice to follow up on screen what's going on with the story. And I think CDRed did a decent job for the continuation.
Actually, I hope this "open world" they are babbling will end up not so open, so the focus is still on the story (unless they discovered some hidden potion that allows to merge both in non-retarded way - which I doubt).

Still, I wouldn't pre-ordered.

To be fair, most of these complaints are either stupid or simple trololo ("cartoony", "almost made me go half blind", "needs customization of sex and clothes"). Responding to these with a doesn't make you a member of prestigious defense squad.
