These concepts can be "cosmic law", "helping others", "vengeance", or, in the Trickster case, "making fun of everything, crusade included". This unique content is what truly defines your character and it allows you to perform actions that can shape the world around you. Your path theme plays whenever you perform these actions.

How this can seem a laugh track to you completely eludes me. Trickster's actions are absurd, weird, and sometimes funny, and all its content is based on dumb jokes on the game world, story, and mechanics, but this doesn't transform what's essentially a leitmotif into a laugh track.

A laugh track need not necessarily be a track with laughter. It's called a laugh track since the earliest days of radio and it can be actual laughter to being a musical composition to illicit a laughing response. I used the term "Laugh Track" as it has always been used. Thus, your confusion stems from a lack of knowledge that can be remedied by studying.
