Along the way, NPCs can join your party, but don't get too attached to them - they can very easily strike out on their own again, perhaps literally within minutes. Better to put your stock in the four-player co-op mode that allows you and three fantasy-gaming friends to undertake the challenge of the campaign together. (You do remember friends, don't you? Those things that come over occasionally, drink your Diet Mountain Dew Code Red, and muck about with your player configurations?)
Although there are some inaccuracies in this preview, like the Crusade mention since the Crusades are much different in the game, the author wins my favor by the very mention of Diet Mountian Dew Code Red.
