And what message would that be exactly?

As I understand, it is "Everything to the extreme". Give it all you got in the world of the endless war. It's an ultimate male powerfantasy.

Guess I'm not a gaymer cus I don't blindly fellatio the latest hyped gaymz. Imagine the people who actually counted down the days and hours just for the release of Keanu Reeves mass-marketed sheeple "Rpg".

By the way, AAA games are so mindless a 4-year old could beat the game, but it's the latest greatest thing so it must be worth a try?

True, every revio about this game itt was liek - I was writhing with disgust but continued to play, that was so refreshing!
I remember, AwesomeButton was writing somethng like that, about a lot of disgust he felt, rigth?
Before the release day I said something to the effect that I was expecting a dystopian world to represent the moral decay of society and the preeminent mood of loss of purpose. This manifests itself among in other things, also in the breakdown of traditional roles of family members and the de-sanctification of the family and of having a partner. Notice how many people have families or refer to family members in the game? Almost none to my knowledge so far - I'm still not far in the main quest.

Playing a lot of gigs, I can say that my exposure to gay or transgender NPCs is next to none, apart from prostitutes on Jig-Jig street, and one shard called "Diary of a Watson Whore" which was written from the perspective of a lecherous femboy. After consulting Urban Dictionary, I should specify - "gay femboy", which is still not trans. Still, pretty much the last kind of portrayal the SJWs want to see of "non-binary" people. Other than that, it's just suggestive ads on the streets. I wouldn't say the game is trans propaganda.

The only family-oriented people are the Nomads and that's exactly due to their detachment from the urban dystopia of the setting.

I guess that the Valentinos could also count as family-oriented as they are presented in 2077 (having had extended beyond their original Don Juan poser gang subculture), but it's the Sopranos sort of family rather than the authentic tribalism of the Nomads.

Analyzing CP77 for social cues and themes like it being "a male power-fantasy" is like murdering out a Dodger Charger that's missing its engine and wheels. Think your should re-prioritize.

Then again, I think that the unattractiveness argument is completely hypocritical since I'm pretty sure that the overwhelming majority of those that frame their critique in this way have no issue with other dystopian settings or with the horror genre (e.g. Dead Space).
It's not an argument. It's a claim. And retarded one at that.

I mean, Cyberpunk being a "propagandistic banner"? Maybe to someone whose view is obscured by some girl's gigantic dick. In the words of Mike Pondsmith, the guy who created Cyberpunk:

When I wrote Cyberpunk many years ago, I meant it as a warning, not an aspiration. Of what happens when Power, Money, and Ruthlessness combine. Of what happens when the America you think you know morphs into a tyrannical state that combines the worst of corporate excess with the worst of authoritarian tendencies.
But some people apparently can't get strong female dicks out of their thoughts and can't shut up about it. They are no better than the actual trans who moan and complain about CPDR being transphobic and "not representing trans people properly", whatever it means.

More from Daniel Vávra (apparently in a Facebook post). I don't know if the quote is translated or not.

https://old.reddit.com/r/kingdomcome/comments/kf8vvb/what_dan_vávra_kcd_director_thinks_about/

He played Cyberpunk on AMD Threadripper with Radeon VII on 150" projector screen.
FB (part of a larger post mostly about projector screens):

"And about Cyberpunk. Check it out. This is really absolutely top game and really revolutionary. I'm sitting in the car next to a woman. Every silly detail of the interior is there and is perfectly rendered. I see everything in life-size and you can see the seams on the jacket, but also the hairs on the carpets on the floor, the dirt on the shoe that actually steps on the accelerator pedal and the pores on the skin that can be seen under the shirt ... Nothing tells me that this is "just a game" and when you look out the window, you see a wide landscape, perfectly lit with great draw distance and incredible detail. This is truly a milestone in game history. In the times of 8-bit, every nerd dreamed of this as the greatest sci-fi. And here we have it. PS: The thing that lies just below the screen in the middle right is a gramophone record. For size comparison."

Vavra loves his details. We knew that since Mafia 1. This is exactly the kind of gane he'd cream his pants over.

That said, expect the excitement will cool off once the hype withers itself out.

Yep, I haven't worked with Valentinos but I suppose Catholicism is doing its thing. Sometimes it's good to be a bit "backwards".

My understanding is that the SJW wish is that trans people are not just accepted but also put on a pedestal and courted as a vulnerable minority, with the SJWs being the sole adepts of deciding who is cherishing this minority "correctly" and "incorrectly". The game's stance is that in the society all the lgbtq-whatever varieties are accepted as just as mundane as straight men and women. This makes SJWs' shit boil.

Is there a respec option?

I've only found an expensive one which resets perk points, I think, but not the points spent in base stats which skill checks are usually against. So you can switch from being specialised in blades or blunt weapons into handguns or whatever but you'll not get the ability to force open a door you weren't able to previously.

They are no better than the actual trans

Or just false flaggers that parrot retarded opinions whenever they see fit

The information age and democracy has empowered the idiots and now they are everywhere, online, on Tv, on phones, infecting other idiots with their low IQ shit. Even tabletop RPGs are getting dumbed down and politically correct, like the latest version of DND, so it is more "inclusive" for brainlet social justice warriors.

Doubtful, game writing is really something else. TW3 feels like amateur work compared to writing in 77. Moreover the pure art that comes out of your screen is really something you have to experience. There are so many still scenes that just had to be "worked" by art team and are not just a coincidence.

Not only sidequests are great but main story itself is amazing. In TW3 main story as plot leverage was good but especially ending was meh. Here ending is really great at least the one i got for now.

Eitherway some screenshots i took from later parts of game, nothing spoilery:

And this just goes to show the incoherence of the whole transsexualism fad. They *don't* want to be acknowledged as actual members of the other sex (which is biologically impossible, but aesthetically doable within the setting as for another person not to be able to distinguish between a transsexual and an infertile person of that actual sex), but rather as their own category within that broader group.

I would add that Jackie talks about his mom all the time and there is a whole mission (Heroes) that deals with his family background. River also has a mission dealing with his sister´s family (Hunt). In both cases the family is disfunctional (absent fathers), but that is hardly surprising given that both are (or in Jackie´s case started as) broke ass minorities with criminal background - I mean IIRC the single motherhood rate among contemporary urban blacks in US is like 70% or so, cyberpunk dystopia surely would up that percentage even more. Given that you mostly hang out with low lifes I think it makes sense that they would not be very open to discuss their families and generaly would come from the backgrounds one would expect from street level criminals.

Pretty much the only "decent" people I met so far (36 hours in doing lots of side content) was the guy who runs for mayor and his wife - they seem like a pretty well functioning married couple as one would expect (though apparently no children so far), though of course if you dig deeper in some of the quests they are fucked pretty hard in other ways. In any case I would say that the lack of functioning families that is apparent in the game is a function of the milieu you move in rather than that of the world in general. Just like IRL, you would probably find that the higher you go in society the more normal social behaviour and structures you would see.

On the street level, the nomads, mexicans/Valentions and possibly the 6th street seem to be the most traditionally oriented factions.

Anyone who started playing games in 90s will appreciate what this game is doing. Back then we only dreamed about reaching this level of fidelity. I really wish CDPR would do remaster of Planescape T with their graphics.

This is not even major character mind you. Just receptionist at Clouds brothel you converse with for like 3-4 minutes and doesn't have anything to in rest of the game.

Yeah, Jackie falls under the aforementioned Valentinos. Him being an ex-Valentino and living within a neighborhood that constitutes a faction-affiliated community (ergo the people who show up for Heroes).

Huh? Just off the top of my head:

- Jackie has his mom in the game, and mentions the family, his father, and his brother
- Ruby mentions her family several times and there's a side quest with her that is basically all about her family
- The main conflict involves literally a family squabble and patricide
- Claire's sidequest (bartender from Afterlife) is all about her husband

I'm sure there's more actually but this is just me thinking about it for 30 seconds.
