If they put everything from KCD1 in there, and fix the combat so it's not just masterstrike spam, it'll be an easy GOTY.

Kuttenberg may also be a change for the series in another notable way. When the original Kingdom Come: Deliverance was released in 2018, it came under scrutiny for its decision to more or less leave out people of color, which Vavra attributed to a desire for historical accuracy. In a 2015 tweet he wrote, “Would you please explain to me whats racist about telling the truth? There were no black people in medieval Bohemia. Period.”

But when asked if Warhorse’s philosophy had changed at all for the sequel, or if it would incorporate more stories like the original game’s DLC, A Woman’s Lot, Stolz-Zwilling told IGN, “The story and plot of KCD has evolved—it’s darker, deeper, and more cinematic, yet also crueler with pivotal decisions and plot twists that challenge the players’s conscience. Nevertheless, it retains its humor and down-to-earth approach. As mentioned already, Henry is embarking on a journey from the countryside and local quarrels to a relatively Cosmopolitan city. that is besieged and occupied by the invading king. Naturally, in a place like this, people can expect a wide range of ethnicities and different characters that Henry will meet on his journey.

KINGDOM COME: DELIVERANCE II COMING 2024

‘Audentes Fortuna Iuvat’ – Fortune Favours the Brave

20:15 CEST 18 APRIL 2024: The critically acclaimed Action RPG, Kingdom Come: Deliverance, is getting a long-awaited sequel and is coming to stores later this year.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II is a true sequel to its predecessor but has been developed and written in such a way that it is perfect for newcomers and longtime fans alike.

The game was announced at a global digital event, which can be watched here https://youtu.be/R48DEEjyS5k and contained a stunning trailer which can be viewed here https://youtu.be/q_WvHhlDRJ0 and downloaded here https://press.plaion.com/Kingdom-Come-Deliverance-II

Viewers hear from the actors and developers directly about this fantastic medieval saga and then enjoy some magical music from the game’s composer, Jan Valta.

Diving back into the heart-pounding world of 15th Century Bohemia (Central Europe), Kingdom Come: Deliverance II picks up where its predecessor left off, thrusting players into the shoes of Henry, the steadfast son of a blacksmith, embroiled in a tumultuous tale of vengeance, betrayal, and self-discovery.

In this gripping sequel, players will traverse a meticulously crafted medieval landscape, from the humble confines of a blacksmith's forge to the grandeur of royal courts, all while navigating the treacherous currents of a kingdom torn apart by civil war.

On two new maps - double the size of the previous game - players can explore the beautiful and diverse Bohemian Paradise (a real-world location you can still visit in the Czech Republic) with the majestic Trosky Castle and then visit an urban environment of the silver mining town of Kuttenberg (a Unesco World Heritage site).

With over five hours of immersive cutscenes narrating Henry's journey, players will find themselves captivated by the unfolding drama at every turn.

The combat system of Kingdom Come: Deliverance II has been revamped to make it more accessible while staying true to its nature – a depiction of real medieval martial arts - from elegant swordplay to deadly ranged attacks, such as the newly added crossbows or early gunpowder weapons

The game is also a, true to the core, RPG experience, where you can take multiple approaches to quests, evolve Henry in any way you see fit and get lost in a responsive and lively world.

Join Henry on his quest for redemption and revenge in 1403 Bohemia later this year and remember: "Audentes fortuna iuvat!"

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II will release on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series S|X later this year.

Looks pretty good but the "everything needs to be bigger" approach has me a little worried. Can't think of many games that were made better by being bigger or stories that were made better by moving from personal stakes to "save the world".

Jesus Christ be praised!

Shit looks great, and the people making it still seem to be old school gamers at heart and not neo-liberal communists.

I wonder which heathen hordes will we get to forcibly convert to Christianity this time.

inb4 "different ethnicities" means Germans, Poles, French, possibly even an Italian or two
