Nope, chem pistols can deal with anything provided you're using the right one (i.e. not using the acid one on mutants). Big T is no exception.

Died to a bear trap - didn't know they can crit so doesn't count.
Decided to kill a dog from random encounter - miscalculated their MP so doggy bites me, killed @. Twice.
Decided it does count, so deleted.

Nope, chem pistols can deal with anything provided you're using the right one (i.e. not using the acid one on mutants). Big T is no exception.

This non-crit chemical build only deal about 1.3k damage to Tchort, that's really awful...

Ah, you mean no crit multiplier.

Explain me Fragmented Chaos - has been told its bugged or doesn't work with Crit feat.
How it interact with Crit Power, do you need them both or rather one?

Caltrops can kill, its just they deal such little damage that it's unlikely. If you want them to reliably kill NPCs they have to burrower poison and you have to abuse their AI to make them walk over it repeatedly.

Died as chem pistol @ - DepotA, location with 1 plasma turret and lotsa dogs. Sneaked to control room with console, robot start to shoot, was destroyed, but... opened door in stealth just in case - all dogs were there.
Didn't survive that figth.

Don't despair. Another dozen attempts (or more...) and you'll make it. I believe in You!

Caltrops can kill, its just they deal such little damage that it's unlikely. If you want them to reliably kill NPCs they have to burrower poison and you have to abuse their AI to make them walk over it repeatedly.

When they left with 1 HP caltrops seemingly stop to damage them.

You will be fine, I beat him with a really crappy 10 perception chempistol build. Took a couple tries but it worked eventually. Chem pistol, and especially XAL can just freeze most of the tentacles lol. It doesnt make enough sound to lure tchortlings either.

What downside?, wear cau and acid res and you are taking no dmg from its kickback, you are dex so you will have escape artist anyways. You can even spec escape artist to give you 30mp when it roots you lol.

Its damage is decent, but its ap cost is what makes it shine.
